Mine is 3D because I got all stars in SM64, SMS, SMG and SMG2 also SM3L counts as 3D platformer and I 100% that game too.
 
Strangely, even though I got NSMB first, I rock at 64 DS
 
I honestly can't say. I have approximately equal skill levels on both.
