V2W: Forum's Choice II (Champion Celebration, Stats, Voter Awards, Etc.)

and is also very popular here and therefore made it to the championship.
 
Ok let the extra stuff begin! First I'm going to give a recap of our Top 12. Remember that the Top 3 will be forced to have 5 new characters in Forum's Choice III, 4-6 can have one return, 7-9 can have up to two return, and 10-12 and can have up to 3 return.



1. MEGAMAN | 314 POINTS
2. KIRBY | 287 POINTS
3. MY LITTLE PONY: FRIENDSHIP IS MAGIC | 265 POINTS​

As expected Megaman and Kirby easily got the Top 2 spots thanks to the 3-Day Megaman Vs. Kirby match. And a hearty congratulations for Friendship is Magic to doing this well. It wasn't nearly as dominating as the first game. But nonetheless it's actually an honor to be among the top. The price of doing so well is that they'll be forced to have new characters. Which I imagine might be difficult for Megaman and Kirby to follow through without the more major characters. I assume Megaman will have perhaps Dr. Light and a few or all Robot Masters. While Kirby is certainly going to be difficult to do as well as they did this game or even the last game without Kirby, Meta Knight, or Dedede. Friendship is Magic I think is set as the series has plenty of depth of characters left such as supporting characters like Princess Luna, Big Macintosh and the Cutie Mark Crusaders.



4. HOMESTUCK | 220 POINTS
5. STAR WARS | 217 POINTS
6. ACE ATTORNEY | 194 POINTS​

These 3 did very well in the game. Just not enough to be able to crack the Top 3. But as a result it is possible to bring one character (As long as they lost in either Round 1 or 2 in both games) back for Forum's Choice III. I imagine it might be a fight for who's the returning character in Homestuck. Out of probable returnees we have Terezi, Rose, Vriska and Jade. In Star Wars, it can either be Han Solo or Palpatine but not both. As for Ace Attourney I imagine Phoenix Wright will be the returning character. Unless demand puts Damon Gant and Ema Skye in front of him. All 3 has a big depth of characters. Could one of them take the Top 3 spot in the next game?



7. SONIC | 171 POINTS
8. PORTAL | 167 POINTS
9. POKEMON ANIME CHARACTERS | 156 POINTS​

All 3 of these each had a moment where they were doing either very well. Or poorly. Sonic in particular had all 5 characters (And was the only series in the game to do so) make it past the first round but then hit a Brick Wall as 3 characters were lost in Round 2. Portal had a similar path albeit it wasn't as much as a crash as it was a prolonged fall, The Pokemon Anime is probably lucky to even be among this group. As Meowth basically carried them to the 9th post. As for the exception of Gary. None of the others did that well. It might be an argument going on for who returns to Sonic. Because Tails, Knuckles, and Shadow are all eligible. Only 2 of those can return. As for Portal. You have Chell, Turret, and Cave Johnson to pick from. With the Pokemon Anime, Ash, Misty, and Brock are all eligible to return.



10. MARIO | 147 POINTS
11. MOTHER 3 | 124 POINTS
12. PIKMIN | 121 POINTS​

It's surprising to see Mario all the way in 10th on the Mario Boards ain't it? Especially since in the first game Mario got 2nd. Other then Mario of course are Mother 3 and Pikmin coincidentally they both were replacements for what would of otherwise been less popular (Tomba and Super Mario Sunshine Bosses). And while it turned out they didn't do anything spetacular (Though perhaps Pikmin sort of had the rotten luck of having it's best characters face a few characters that ended up in the Top 8. Notably The President lost to our champion Proto Man and Olimar faced Kirby which basically clinched his BYE win) they certainly did well enough to make a return. Anyways, eligible returnees for Mario include Donkey Kong, Peach, Toad, and Bowser Jr. For Mother 3 has Lucas, Fassad, Duster, and Salsa avaliable to return. One is going to have to be left out. As for Pikmin: Louie, Olimar, Pikmin, and Bulborb are eligible. Again one is going to be left out.

Probably about a month from now. Kinda like the break I had between the first and second ones

Anyway. Here are all the awards. (Decided to skip on the You Talk Too Much award) I can still do more if anybody has good suggestions. But for now these are all the awards

It was pretty interesting for the Most Winning character. It was pretty close but...

"Go with the Flow" Award (Most votes going to a winning character) - Epic Nitwit [80%]
Honorable Mentions: Smasher [78%], SonicMario [77%], MCD [73%]

The Hipster Award was never in doubt as soon as GS15 got enough matchups to be eligible for awards. It just wasn't even close this time.

"Hipster" Award (Most votes going to a losing character) - Goomba's Shoe 15 [35%]
Honorable Mention: Nega-Man [49%]

This award actually got a two-way tie

"Who are these guys again?" Award (Most Matchups voted on) - Smasher and Nega-Man [111 Matches]

Yeah, I tried to play this one more. I didn't play Forum's Choice 1 nearly as much as Forum's Choice II. That's cool I got an award tho.

Also, I really had far fewer matchups this game where I was voting against something very popular (compared to what last game was like, anyway), so it's kinda expected I wouldn't do as well this game in the hipster award.

Well 8 people is 9 matchups. Out of over 100 it's not the majority. You still played in enough matches (The eligibility mininum is 60) to be able to win an award.
