If animal crossing 3D isn't out by then (it release date is still listed as just "2012") they might show something more about it, I guess.

Also, maybe something about Pokémon and Nobunaga's Ambition?

^this. And they'll probably only have some very little and basic stuff ready by then. But then again, when they first showed the brawl trailer they also only had very little and basic stuff.

Why does nobody ever seem to recall they said they weren't gonna start the project untill Kid Icarus Uprising was done?
 
Because people believe what they want to believe and they want to believe that SSB4 is almost done.
