Suggestions for Improvement

Sorry for double posting, but we should be able to make text in our sigs a bit bigger, at least to 20pt.

But if we have huge sigs it will take forever to read everyone's posts.

Huge sig images already do a good job making posts hard to read.

ITS HIM!

[Kyoko Sakura]

I have a suggestion but it might be hard to enforce: Too many people with the same name:

Young Link
Link
SkywardSwordLink

I understand it would be dumb to enforce that with actual usernames but I mean name changes. I think one Link is enough, especially if all their avatars/sigs are almost the same.

[Xiahou Ba]

I agree with that. What happens if some users request name changes that are extremely similar to one another, such as Link to L1nk or L|nk?

It is quite difficult to distinguish them from each other.

I agree too.

[New Super Mario]

I suggest a couple of things

1. Change the Chatty Cathy name to something more mario related.

2. Add more ranks after 10,000, considering there are a lot of active people here (like 15,000 and 20,000 and stuff)

That's what I was talking about to Stooben and Porple via PM a few months ago. I considered adding a couple of Nintendo related people such as:

Shigeru Miyamoto, Reggie Fils-Aime, Satoru Iwata, etc.

I also thought of adding "Dark Bowser", and other Mario related things.

I was thinking that 10,000 could be changed to "Fawful" and go from there and do bosses. 50,000 could be Shadow Mario

Well, Stooben and Porple liked my idea, but they never got to adding it.

If you get 100,000 posts your name could be "Shigeru Miyamoto" to show your awesomeness

Fawful > Bowser? No way.

Dark Bowser for 10,000 seems pretty logical to me. Maybe at 20,000 or something you could make your own rank?

I like that idea. But then people may spam just to get their own rank

What about that this forum have mobile/android or iphone layout for easier to read?

How about we don't encourage people to spam to get new ranks.

Besides, there's only nine people over 10,000.

Funny. Last I checked, there were rules against spamming.

Yeah, but many are at 6,000 and 8,000 and counting.

I know, but people do it a little bit here and there sometimes

Good idea, maybe you can change the stars to another image after a certain amount of posts too.

[YamiHoshi]

Both stuff is only possible for Administrators.
It's the same as saying, "I think it's a good idea to give every single user Administrator rights."

[NSY]

You can't do that since then they will be someone who goes around banning people.

[YamiHoshi]

I know that, and that's what I mean.
Users changing their own ranks = Administrators, or anyone else with access to Admin CP.

[Lily x]

Unless after a certain amount of posts you can 'request a rank'?

[YamiHoshi]

You mean in the same matter as usernames?
If everyone can request a rank, you know nothing will be unique anymore, don't you?
And besides, it'll only make the Forums into a mess.
