Cheeeessssssss <3<3<3

I think that chess is like part of my daily life (every Lunch, I watch people play chess and SSBM)

That Mario Chess I have, but I don't actually play chess with those pieces at some times.

I'm awful at it.

To tell you the truth, I don't know if I am awful at it. Maybe because I play against my sister, who has equal skills as me, basically

Being honest, I have never tried it in my life. which is a bit of a downfall to me since it involves heavy thinking and just looks like a blast.

Hmm hmm...

I think I tried playing it once, but I didn't have a clue what I was doing. I've always been more of a checkers fan.

I like chess, but sometimes, I hate it how people take so long to move their pieces. I'm not really the patient type.

It faces whatever, it can be on any side, so it's basically moving 2 spaces in 1 direction, then 1 at a right angle. Also, knights jump.
Thanks to your help, I beat my sister yesterday.Thank You!

Quantity

2 Knight: - (Can jump over other pieces)

2 Rook: Up or down as many spaces possible.
2 Bishop: / as many spaces possible.
1 King: Moves one space in any direction. (Cannot move into check)
1 Queen: Moves in any direction and has no limit of spaces but cannot jump.
8 Pawn: Moves up and cannot go backwards. To defeat an enemy it must be this way from it: / They can be promoted to Queen, Rook, Knight or Bishop.

I once had 2 queens on the board so Luigi had to be added. :D

That's not what he meant.
En Passant: If your opponent just moved a pawn out 2 spaces and it is now next to your pawn, you can go diagonally behind it and take it. Cool, but usually useless move.

If you don't like wikipedia then here's another link. (If you don't like Wikipedia then you shouldn't like MarioWiki anyway)

I hate it when I overlook what I type.

Ah. So I guess all the times I argued people into submission that they couldn't jump my pawn like that, I was wrong. Not sarcasm, I feel kind of dumb. From what I can see, however, it can only be done in that circumstance.
