Super Mario 3D Land is not like SM64, SMS, or SMG, you know?
It's actually a "New Super Mario Bros." with more roaming.
The trailers might give you an idea that it's a 3D Mario Platformer like SM64, SMS, or SMG, but after playing the game itself, you'll see it's otherwise.

I think he was implying that he thought you meant the Mario series as a whole, including Super Mario 64 and whatnot.

I WANT to play the game! I hope some more new enemies appear. They showed Ink Piranhas, Raccoon Goombas, Purple Chubby Eels, and Bees

One thing is for certain though. It'll be interesting to play a 3D Mario title that plays like the 2D side-scrollers.
