I just got to the divide. I've been 100%ing each layer as I go. I was unfortunately spoiled on a massive reveal for the ending of the game before even getting the game, but I've still been having a lot of fun discovering things in the middle.
I've always thought of Miis as just little avatars that represent people, and not really a distinct species. Sort of like how Mario and the people from New Donk City look different despite being the same species.
You shouldn't have to worry, because it's against the rules of the boards anyways (rule 10 here) since Mario is a family friendly franchise, and many of the users of this website are on the younger side.
Ciao, non parlo italiano, quindi sto usando un software di traduzione. Mi scuso se qualcosa potrebbe confondervi. Ho comunque sentito parlare di quella mod.
(Hello, I don't speak italian, so I am using translating software. I apologize if anything is confusing because of that. I have however...
A day late to the thread since I try to stay off the web for the holiday, but here you go.
-Donkey Kong Bananza
-Metroid Prime 4: Beyond
-A sketchbook
-A set of markers
-Some Books
-Too much candy, that I'm not going to bother listing it all.
I was reminded by the holiday of the time that my siblings and I recieved a Wii-u for Christmas when that was Nintendo's console. I know that the Wii-u was less successful than usual for Nintendo, but I'd imagine that on a Nintendo game specific forum, more of us had a Wii-u than the population...
The use of stickers as the main reward for open world exploration is a baffling choice to me. I actually like the little world-building touches and creative designs they provide, but what kills them is that you can't even see them on your kart most of the time.
I like amiibo/figurines most out of these options, but I like all of them, even if I'm not that big of a collector. The trouble with amiibo is balancing them feeling substantial with not feeling like it's locking useful dlc behind a figure that you might not be interested in. I think the Smash...
I've noticed that there are a lot of Nintendo franchises where Nintendo consoles exist within the universe. So as a fun bit of trivia I'll list every one that I can think of off the top of my head here. Let me know if there are any more that you can think of.
Mario: A Toad in the thousand year...
This is only tangential to the topic of blue and yellow toad, but I think they should have other toads with hair-like extensions to their head like Toadette's pigtails. You could easily imagine how the concept could be translated to resemble bun or a ponytail or other kinds of hairstyles which...
Every copy of Mario 64 is personalized, but instead of getting the scary and evil personalization algorithm like in those iceberg videos, I got the fun and chill one.
I actually played the DS version of 64 first.
Actually the blank eyes make it look more like fan art of the SA-X Parasite from Metroid Fusion, so you can see it as that as well.
Here's the version with a normal visor.
I think that the Super Mario Wiki that the Boards kind of spins off from is a pretty good example of what a wiki should be, with the quality of articles usually being comprehensive and accurate, and also just fun to read, having a clean design that isn't smothered in ads is a nice bonus. I...
For some reason, I feel like I like having the option to be evil in rpgs, but then I always end up playing the standard goody two-shoes dork in shining armor each time. I thinks it's something about just the idea that I could do otherwise seems cool.
I like pizza with Jalapeños and Pepperoni. I also like many classic pizza toppings such as olives and mushrooms. I prefer a slightly crackery crust to my pizzas.
That's pretty cool. The Macy's parade really is a good sample of the most well-known cartoon characters in American culture. (I know Mario is a Japanese creation, I'm talking about how well known it is to Americans.)
In general, the stories of most Mario games are self-contained enough that it doesn't really matter how they relate to other games in the series. There are still references to other games sometimes, but they're usually small, and the status quo won't change much at all by the end of a game...
Hey you know that vacant lot right beside the gas station? Well somebody bought it and on the spot they're gonna build a shop where we can go buy bolts and screws!
To clarify my opinion on the first movie, I didn't think it was that bad, I just don't think it's the type of movie that really does anything special with the characters and world. I'd at least wait until the Galaxy movie comes out to decide whether you want to watch it to form an opinion or...
Did you know? The first game in the world famous Doki Doki Panic series was originally a reskin of an obscure Japanese-only game called "Super Mario Bros. 2".
In that case, I would probably slowly sink into dangerously low morale over lack of real people to interact with no matter what I pick. Oh well, I think even with those dire circumstances I could still enjoy exploring some of my favorite video game worlds for a time.
In this scenario am I allowed to leave the bounds of the play area and explore the world? Or am I stuck to areas that appear on screen? Also do I have human needs such as needing to eat and avoid staying in the sun for too long? Or do I only need to worry about things that a video character...
Only a small amount of fan theories actually are about using evidence or even analysis of narrative themes to create plausible interpretations and expansions of the lore, most are simply alternate-universe micro fan-fictions framed as "what if THIS was what was actually happening?"
I think it's...
Those blue water molecule-looking things are Ice Cherbils, they attack using gas, and their enemy description is basically a fart joke. That isn't necessary to understanding the joke here or anything, but if you were curious about what those things were, now you know.
New profile image of the Jolly Roger designed by me. Sorry for the low resolution. I also made the ASCII art pirate-ship that I'm using as my banner. Sorry once again for the blurriness of the pixels. It's somewhat clearer on my profile image
The Mario franchise has featured a lot of ghosts over the years, mostly as enemies. I thought it would be fun to discuss your favorite ghosts for Halloween.
My favorite ghost is Polterpup from Luigi's Mansion 2, since he has a nice character development from being a mischievous prankster to...
Also to be clear I'm not trying to making a statement here about whether such videos are good or bad, even though my example was humorously exaggerated. You can decide that for yourself.
I feel like ranking and tier-list videos on youtube have gotten increasingly specific and niche over time. Sometimes I see a video titled something like "Ranking the earlobes of all characters in the Geeble franchise Part 1 (2:22:13)".
