@Link327 it's related to clothes detail. Melee introduced overall pockets that are behind Mario, and Brawl retained them but Smash 4 got rid of them probably to avert the player gaze.

How dare you Sakurai, how dare you you remove the backpockets from Mario. Every Smash game released after Brawl is now a disgrace as Mario does not have backpockets in them. Backpockets? Really? And for the record Sakurai litterally about kills himself from the smash series, it does a number to his health!

Sakurai's overwhelming nerf can be seen in the Mario series afterward because even when Odyssey reintroduced more realistic denim, they didn't include the elusive pockets.

Slowly realizing that this whole pocket erasure is just censorship that panders to SJWs.

What all Marios truly want: overalls with pockets. Mario clothes manufacturers, take notes!

Mario's overalls actually do have pockets by default (on the sides), but it's the ones on the back that are super important.
