    I beat Bonetail first try, no crashout required.

    This situation feels familiar to me for some reason.

    Bonetail is very similar to Gloomtail, just with much more HP, limited heals and breath attacks that inflict a variety of status effects rather than just poison (which you can get around with Feeling Fine badges or guarding), but actually without some of the attacks that Gloomtail has such as Earthquake and Megabreath. So if you could take down Gloomtail then Bonetail shouldn't be a problem as long as you have enough patience.

    Don't you just absolutely hate a difficulty wall? Not a curve, not a spike. Just a wall where you'll slam your face and be humiliated.

    I used a strategy on accident that makes Bonetail really easy to defeat, but you need Charge P badges (depending on how powerful you want your charges) and FP restoring items.
    Basically, with Yoshi out, use Charge P (for +2 damage each turn while not breaking the chain) while attacking for bits and pieces of damage and healing with Mario. The turn before you unleash your Yoshi attack (either being Ground Pound or Stampede, and I would recommend a power of +8 or higher), use a Power Lift to get a potential +4 more damage, then use Ground Pound or Stampede the next turn. You could bring Hot Sauce, like I did, to add another point on Mario's turn, and if the first Yoshi mega attack does not kill, but Bonetail is low, either start charging up another or deal larger damage with your remaining Power Lift turns.
    I hope this helps take down the difficulty wall! (Somehow, I did not struggle with this fight. I have not, however, gone back down yet to get my last tattle...)

    I ended up deciding to actually document all the variations of Bowser's Tower but writing F[X] for each floor makes me feel like I'm writing the Fail Awards.

    Speaking of the Shroom, I actually had a dream last night that they had a special Mario Party themed issue coming up soon, and if that were ever to be true then do I have the perfect video in production for that.

    I'm sure that they could actually do a Mario Party themed special Shroom issue at some point in the future, given that the Mario Party series' 30th anniversary is approaching in a few years.

    Mario Party 1 came out in what, 1998? And they usually like to do a special issue like, biannually so I guess 2028 would fit with that pretty well.

    Yeah, Mario Party 1 did come out in 1998, if memory serves me correctly. And if The 'Shroom does do special issues on a biannual basis, then that's basically a match made in The Overthere. 😄

    Today I woke up with Contemplation from Mario Party DS stuck in my head because I dreamed about playing a minigame that was basically Trace Cadets and Double Vision smashed together.

    Does Windows have any clue what they're doing anymore? Windows has ruined the experience of two different computers made in 2025 because of their complete lunacy but the computer from 2021 works perfectly fine because apparently it was sometime between then and now that they lost the plot.

    E: I've solved the mystery. They lost the plot on October 5, 2021. Which was after I got the computer I have that doesn't suck directly because of Windows.

    Is it time for me to document the preassigned-and-not-actually-randomly-generated layouts of Bowser's Tower in Island Tour?

    E: For context, I'm on my like, sixth playthrough of Bowser's Tower and when I walked into floor 1, I recognized the option of Claiming the Cube and Rope a Slope from the first time I played. So I questioned if the CPUs were going to be bubble Marios, and then they were. Then once I got to floor 4, I correctly guessed that it was going to be the bubble Daisys. So I'm pretty sure it's not randomly generated at all.

    E2: I guessed correctly again when I got to the last set and guessed it was going to be Juniors... yeah this isn't random at all.

    I keep having boards related dreams. This time someone hacked into the boards themselves and started promoting random people, but it was all regulars that got the promotions to mod and core Shroom staff and whatever.

    I just recorded ~52 minutes of my video script. All I've done is the intro, Mario Party 1, and the finale/outro. My voice is already shot. This is going to be hell.
