It would be kinda nice if there was some sort of Super Mario Wiki Wiki with the community characters and lore... it would make stories easier to write...
So, I found a simple setup to smuggle items from the Super Mario 3D World and 2D gamestyles to the other in Super Mario Maker 2, and found some interesting things.
- The moon works perfectly fine in 3DW. When night is triggered, editing music plays in place of nighttime music. Underwater and Ghost House are completely dark with no light whatsoever (only small blobs of yellow that don't help you when using a Super Star), Desert does not have wind, and Underground reverses your controls but not your vision. All other themes work properly.
- Hop-Chops are the only 3DW enemy to have a unique reaction to Nighttime; they move slowly as though underwater.
- The only course part you can smuggle to 3DW without it being corrupt data ("legally smuggling") is a Spiny Shell, which does not work as a Shellmet and instead works as a normal shell with spikes on it. It does not have an icon.
- The only course part you can legally smuggle into 2D styles are forward-facing Banzai Bills. They do not show up in gameplay but are invisible in the editor and can be rotated to be normal Banzais. You can also make them Bull's-Eye Banzais while still being faced forward, but it doesn't become a Cat Banzai Bill facing forward when smuggled back, unlike Bull's-Eye Banzais that face in a cardinal direction.
- Koopa Clown Cars work perfectly when transported, minus the invisibility. You can even fire an invisible and silent blast with a Fire Koopa Clown Car. You can also place enemies in the car; Stingbies, Bullies, and Porcupuffers cannot be directly placed in but can be made to fall in. Hop-Chops, Bullies, Boom Boom, and Pom Pom cannot be stomped and cause the player to slide off. Porcupuffers act like a spiky Goomba in a Koopa Clown Car.
