Awards Killing Game 2x2: Moon of Hope (Game Thread) - Day 4: Lunary Cliffs

If the symbols of Ouranos are Z-Gates, then I will search the Restrooms for another symbol, and if I find a panel I'll open it up
You quickly tear apart the Rest Rooms for clues relating to Uranus. You find that someone has previously damaged the room in here by flooding the sinks with water. You note the mirror is tinted slightly bronze, and pressing your finger to it, there doesn't appear to be a gap, implying its very thin, and breakable. You flash your darklight on the restroom toilets, and find one with a symbol matching the Aviation Exhibit panel. You quickly flush the toilet.

The Rest Rooms Z Gate has been revealed. It will be added to the map on Night 4

The twilight phase has concluded. Pending results will still be posted, as well as the vote for the Sun Stone. Night 4 will begin Soon.

[A small, nervous-looking Boo is holding a wooden sign. It says "Night 4's narrative will be posted a little later." Please do not yell at it.]

It is now Night 4. You have 72 hours to submit Night 4's actions. Some map descriptions will be updated with new information in pink, please refer to the Updated Rooms below.

Tonight's incentive: Not attempting will reveal your Forbidden Action to all players who attempted.

Tonight's Wraiths are... a frosty mint-chocolate-chip flavored @TPG and @Salmancer. Their powers are detailed below. Mona will also gain these powers for the night.

CODE: MINT CHOCOLATE CHIP said:
Code: MINT CHOCOLATE CHIP
As an Ice Wraith, you possess a fragment of the elemental demonic spirit Y██'s power, granting you minor resonance with the element of Ice.

Abilities - Ice Wraith I
  • You can produce small balls of ice on command, these can be thrown, and explode on blunt contact, releasing a burst of elemental water.
  • Once per night, you can imbue yourself with a momentary burst of icy resistance, allowing you tank physical hits more easily, and slide around like a cube of ice.
  • You can only move in the Paranormal Dimension. You can have objects move with you in the Paranormal Dimension so long as you maintain contact with them. Please toggle the floor maps in the OP of this thread for more information.
  • You can turn invisible to mortals on command, but this invisibility is limited to a few minutes at a time. You will always be visible to other entities in the Paranormal Dimension, and under Darklight.
  • You cannot kill. You may accomplice with a living player. Only one accomplice may exist per case.
  • You are weak to all standard ghost weaknesses in this universe, and the element of Fire.

Night 4 Game Status

All Z-Gates have been uncovered. Living players can access the Paranormal Dimension by entering through Z-Gates.
All Pixilators have been uncovered. Living players can warp between two linked rooms using the Pixilator cameras. Be mindful of their positioning.

While in the Paranormal Dimension, Living players have the following traits:
  • Can only move in the Paranormal Dimension.
  • Can move objects with them in the Paranormal Dimension (i.e. through walls), so long as they maintain contact.
  • Are completely invisible, except under darklight, and to other players in the Paranormal Dimension.

Updated Rooms
  • Toolshed: The ??? room has been revealed and unlocked. A large toolshed with all sorts of gardening tools and supplies to maintain the many plants within the Complex.
  • Solarium: A room with huge glass windows to sit and view the outside with, along with some nice plants to add atmosphere. The still life paintings of plants are here, along with an activated Pixilator, which connects to the Cliffside.
  • Restroom: A utilitarian restroom with several stalls for privacy.
  • Plant Nursery: A room full of exotic plants that require special growth conditions. It's been carefully arranged to provide said plants with all the right conditions they could want, but someone has wrecked most of the plants beyond saving.
  • Greenhouse: A well-stocked glass-roofed room with plenty of conventional plants. Automated systems manage their care, but someone has dug up most of the plants rather brutally.
  • Pit Mine: A room filled with coal and coal veins, as well as minecarts full of coal. Someone has wheeled a minecart with a meteorite near here, and the gate blocking the abyss is now open.
  • Foyer: The large central foyer that one enters the Complex through. Besides a grand entrance and chandelier, there's even an aquarium with tropical fish. A huge mess from the great fight on Night 1 remains in the lobby. The chandelier has been smashed. A vault with a rusted-over lock has been uncovered behind a mysterious painting.
  • Garden: The main feature of the Mansion Grounds. A large, well-manicured garden with plenty of plants and a fancy fountain as the centerpiece. The fountain has been damaged slightly, and a golden grappling hook labeled AURUMDESIRE is here.
  • Restroom: A utilitarian restroom with several stalls for privacy. The Z-Gate toilet has been activated.
  • ⬆️ Aviation Exhibit: A big museum room about the history of aviation. A couple full-scale airplanes are on display. A back exit leads to the outside. A wall panel has revealed a small crawl space, and the Z-Gate inside has been activated.
  • ⬇️ Hollow Tree Heights: A large tree that extends through the entire Complex. Inside the tree is a staircase running around the edge of the tree. Lots of scratches are on these walls.
  • Kitchen: What used to be a functional kitchen has thoroughly flooded. All ovens and stovetops are unusable. Officially the most dangerous room in the facility. It seems the slimy beast has escaped the dumbwaiter.
  • Crow's Nest: A thin, rickety bridge that spans the exhibits of the second floor. It's only wide enough for one person to cross at a time. The east bridge has been torched, and is still usable, but could break easily with a good enough impact.
  • ⬆️ Tree Roots: The roots of the Hollow Tree. The staircase ends here, and the roots have invaded the floor of the room. A smashed one-of-a-kind faberge clock lays tossed to one side, and a hole has been dug in the center of the room.
  • Crypt: An underground crypt. Some sealed coffins lie in state within the room. All of the coffins have been opened. One of the skulls has a Pixilator, which connects to the mausoleum in the Graveyard.
  • Graveyard: The main feature of the Forest Grounds. A fully-loaded graveyard with plenty of gravestones, as well as a large mausoleum in the back. The mausoleum has a Pixilator, which connects to the Crypt.
  • Cliffside: The main feature of the Rocky Grounds. The side of the outside sharply drops here rather than sloping down, with plenty of pointy, spiky rocks at the bottom. Spiked into the cliffside is a Pixilator, which connects to the Solarium.
  • Icy Lake: The main feature of the Snowy Grounds. The lake has been converted to a pile of frozen papery mush, with a tunnel leading to an unsealed hatch. A long ice slide leads from here to Under the Ice. A small fishing hut is adjacent to the now not-lake. An abandoned, frozen-over water pump serves as a spawning ground for Ice Elemental spirits. There is a slimy creature living here.

Available NPCs:
  • Vigil - The Valley groundskeeper who watches over the Complex's residents, living and non. An expert mortician and gardener all the same, his primary residence is the Graveyard. Where there's smoke, there's fire, and his lantern can often be spotted from the Complex's misshapen windows, wandering the distant valley grounds at night. Has powers related to accurate autopsies and accurate testimony.
  • Mona Warnewicke - Gadd's trusted Elemental Expert, and a renowned clutz, who elected to take on the Chief Safety Officer role after it was left abandoned for many years. Her handbook is full of seemingly endless safety regulations. Will happily provide guidance on safe work and elemental reactions to anyone who asks, which is usually no one. Has powers related to elemental magic, and methods of death.
  • Tanner Tosca - The general assistant for Gadd, a spectral figure who was in the Complex even before Gadd was. Exhausted but unwilling to disrupt his jobs, Tanner can always be found where Gadd needs some help, except for when he's decided to lurk in the basement to escape yet another asinine request. Has powers related to accomplicing and partnership.
  • King Blocky Boo I - The big bad, free again at last. An amnesiac cubical demonic spirit, he is the archrival of Professor Gadd Zooks, having finally broken free of his prison. Has powers related to murder and performing successful kills.

Bond Powers
  • All - Bronze Frame - Strangers to Acquaintances - No NPC will agree to be an accomplice at this portrait level.
  • All - Silver Frame - Acquaintances to Friends - All NPCs will discuss more detailed or expansive topics relating to their past and the Complex itself.
  • Vigil- Bronze Frame - Mortician I - Upon request, Vigil will conduct a more thorough examination of the body than a player, and offer additional insight.
  • Vigil - Silver Frame - Distant Watcher EX - Vigil will be able to detect the movements of wraiths in the mansion despite being outside. He will briefly testify about what he notices Wraiths, Demonic Spirits, or anyone in the paranormal dimension, doing, but can't discern any forms unless he's certain who they are.
  • Mona - Bronze Frame - Trace Elements I - Upon request, Mona will indicate whether or not a fire, flood, or frozen object was created/affected by Elemental Magic, as well as a likely (but not guaranteed) source.
  • Mona - Silver Frame - Crash Test Dummy III - As someone who's died and lived and died again, many times, Mona can be asked to possess a body, or a suitable stand-in for a body, and perform KG physics experiments from a first person perspective. She'll then give an assessment on whether it would match the victim's experience and current state, and suggest certain experimental adjustments that a host could not. This power can be used repeatedly, but its effectiveness lessens with each use.
  • Mona - Gold Frame - Barrier From the Crucible EX - Mona can be commissioned to create an elemental wellspring which will shelter elementals of Ice, Fire or Water in any place on the map. Players have to agree on a location during the day, and elementals will be obtainable from that location starting from the very next night. She will only make one of each elemental wellspring.
  • Tanner Tosca - Bronze Frame - Camaraderie I - Upon request, Tanner will give an upfront indication as to whether he feels there's an accomplice affecting the case. There can only be one accomplice per case. Accomplices will be debuffed if their associated killer is caught.
  • Tanner Tosca - Silver Frame - Cherished Assistant III - Tanner can act as a back-up to an NPC's rolepower by performing a less powerful version of it to double blind confirm the power's result, or use it again on another situation. He will only do this once per phase. He can use this power on eliminated NPCs, should any exist.
  • King Blocky Boo I - Bronze Frame - Two by Two by Two EX - Starts Awards Killing Game 2x2. Oh no... there is no disabling this power either.
  • King Blocky Boo I - Silver Frame - Heel Tag-Team EX - Anyone who murders can request KBB's assistance on any night. This applies permanently going forward. He will not assist in attempts ("Get your own hands dirty, kids!") and will not hide his assistance. He won't assist if he feels you're trying to trick him.
  • King Blocky Boo I - Gold Frame - Complex Restoration EX - KBB is relishing in the damage you're doing to the Complex and Gadd's experiment as a whole, so much that he's willing to grant you a second round of destruction. A majority of players can agree on a single room for KBB to use his paranormal powers on, which will revert it and all objects inside to their state at the start of the game, undamaged. This will not return any items taken from the room previously.
  • Empty Portrait - Bronze Frame - The Chorus of Silence - You can each pick a single instrument you are a master in, and play it with no difficulties.

Too bad about the dragon. I liked his funny pictures. And the muscle man with the mustache wasn't half bad either, apart from the fact that he killed the dragon. These Killin' Games always ends up gettin' rid of the best of us.

atmey-wild.png

Maybe this should be the part where I address the fact that everyone thinks I'm a big thug who does nothin' but destroy stuff. To which I say, you're totally right. My investigation style is go everywhere and smash everythin'. Ain't no other way to find the real info, which hides under stepladders and pot plants. And to show ya some proof, here's my latest Investigator's Notes:

Rahliman.png

RAHLIMAN
Papered Specter

This ghost is covered in toilet paper, and also likes to carry around a big golden axe, which he is prone to dropping when attacked, meaning he probably isn't good at multitasking. Weak to fire, just the same as the rickety bridge in the Crow's Nest which got toasted by the firebombs I threw at the mummy.
Glazprezz.png

GLAZPREZZ
Transparent Specter

Hiding in plain sight, this specter hides on the top of the Greenhouse, oppressing others and limiting their potential. It's weakness is being really fragile, the same as real glass, so breaking through this guy was real easy. Others may see the room's current state as nothing more than a broken glass ceiling, but I see liberation from the forces that are holding others back.
Redeye.png

REDEYE
Floral Specter

People keep calling this the Crimson Eye, and that seemed pretty devious. I smashed all the pumpkins and plucked all the plants in the Greenhouse and Plant Nursery, but I couldn't find the root of this guy. Seems like it goes even deeper underground. Not sure how that works since flowers need sunlight, but whatever. Pretty devious, indeed.
Belladonna.png

BELLADONNA
Also Floral Specter

This one is in the Tomb, a lady covered in leaves and having a snooze. I decided to leave a message for her to know that I dropped by, and left it in big orange paint so it'd be nice and clear. Then Tanner came in and told me to stop desecrating the Tomb. Guess that little guy doesn't care for art.

atmey-smug.png

As youse can see, I've gotten yet another step closer to unravellin' the mysteries of this mansion, and all the ghosts livin' in it. Pretty soon, the truth of this world will be obvious to all. No need to thank me, it's just what I do.

Oh hi. I'm Chad. I'm known as a "stuff-finding ghost". Really hated being a painting, thanks for letting me out I guess… Really preferred the vacuums. Struggling around in them was a way to pass the time.

What's this about a Killing Game? Ugh, I don't know why these have gotten so popular. There are better things to do than chase each other around while stabbing and shooting. Yeah, I don't really feel like murdering. You guys just… keep doing what you were doing I guess.

You know what, I am free because of this game. I'll play along and help you guys out. Normally I'd locate, like, stuff, but you're probably plenty equipped by now and honestly this complex is super confusing. One building is enough for me, why make it harder with this five in one thing. Oh…Says here there are some slime creatures bothering you. Maybe I'll deal with one of them. Seems like a fair deal.

Huh. Oh right, there's some kind of barrier here. And the last known location of one of the slimes is beyond it. *sigh* Feels weird to ask mortals for help, but I can't get to the slime alone. Could someone, like, push the thing into my area? Down that ice slide thing I think. Would really appreciate it.

Well, at least that... man is gone, as is a self-purported member of the Crimson Eye. Even mentioning that name in a neighborhood can cause diminishing returns on a property.

I cannot say I am fond of having coordinated plans with a killer, even if they didn't work out. Please do not lump me into your dirty business, Ms. Knightley. I was almost made into a portrait for your actions.

Here is a damages report for our third night-and-day together. When I began composing it, I naturally assumed that there was less damage on the building than previous nights... I'm not sure how accurate that guess was anymore...

-One of the pipes in the Sewers was destroyed in a targeted detonation. Thankfully, no structural damage was done to the entire room, but replacing this piping will assuredly cost in the triple or quadruple digits.
-The Crow's Nest was completely decimated by fire, including the bridge connecting it to the Nautical Exhibit. Full replacement would be required for this room to hold any value now.
-Nearly the entire reserve of plants in the Greenhouse and Nursery were shredded, including multiple rare species that could only grow in artificial environments. Hopefully none of these were on an endangered flora protection list.
-On top of this, the Greenhouse glass ceiling was broken, leaving the room without its proper internal climate.
-Blood has accumulated on the Train Exhibit tracks in such a way that replacement may become necessary in the future.
-Multiple coffins were moved and damaged in the incident that occurred with the deceased Thanos. I am uncertain if a corpse also qualifies as an item under any current property protections.
-The chimney in the Smokehouse has been damaged to account for toxic fumes that gathered without proper ventilation.
-The dumbwaiter was the subject of a fiery trap for a wandering spirit, and residue from the slime that sat within it probably remain.
-The tomb was covered in bright paint. I suppose covering my coat with it was not enough.
-A Restroom toilet was accidentally clogged during the investigation. Please do not flush it. Please do not flush it.

66148

And as a reminder, you all elected to give a powerful esoteric artifact to a madwoman murderer who keeps taking calls from someone outside the facility. This technically does not count as damages... but based on what she does with the stone, it might soon qualify.

Clearly everyone has the rest of the puzzles in this place figured out, so good luck in your race for the Dark Moon shards. Please be wise in your distribution, and most of all, keep them in one piece. I beg of you.

Th-the... the... Oc-Oc-Oct...

1787517862567.png

The Octarians are coming. Again! I musta been squidnapped... nobody believes me, but they stole me away once before and trapped me in a Krilling Game. But it's the work of the Octarians, I tell ya! ... Wuzzat? Ghosts? Ancient Kings? Another Krilling Game?? W-what the shell is happening here???

Well, ya can't kill an old squid twice. Guess I should introduce myself... I'm Cap'n Cuttlefish, leader of the legendary Squidbeak Splatoon and veteran of the Evershade Valley Krilling Game. I learned a few tricks on surviving in a manor full of bloodthirsty murderers, and I'll be clammed if I don't use them here!

Step 1: Distract them with treasure hunts. A fellow war dogfish and I concocted some imaginary gems to distract the masses. Called 'em Sun Stones or some whatnot like that. Worked a treat, too! They were wasting time hunting for rocks while I could take a nap in peace! ...Huh? What'd you say, young whippersnapper? The Sun Stone is real?
1787518278796.png

...I need to sit down. We're doomed.

Blocky: "Goddamn! What a catastrophe, huh? You guys went WILD tonight!"

Vigil: "As they do every night, forcing us to cope with the results of their destruction..."

Blocky: "But, I mean, this ain't just any night. Not on a night where TWO, count 'em, TWO of the Dark Moon Shards got claimed!

Listen, I admire the hustle. You mind giving those to me later? Trust me, I got good plans for them!"

Tanner: "Heh. That giant beanstalk is going to be a conversation piece for days. You think I'll get some beans from it later?"

Vigil: "The great blackout... Seeing the mansion plunged into darkness so abruptly was a shocking sight, even for me."

Blocky: "Shame about the exhibits, though. Those were always fun. But hey, I like the riot you guys caused even more!"

Tanner: "You think we'll miss the slime monster?"

Blocky: "Naaaaah. We'll miss the victim, though. Or at least, I will.

Always a shame when a good killer goes!"

Attention all Test Subjects of the Grand Experiment! Something has happened! A body has been discovered!

Porticia Knightly
has been found dead in the Cliffside! Her role was CODE: SVITREUS, the Ultimate Thousand-Eyes!

Code: SVITREUS
🩻 Ultimate Thousand-Eyes
In the age of surveillance, you've always had people in your life say they mysteriously feel like they're being watched. Are they right? Well... with a gentle smile, you assure them there's no need to worry. Life may pass them in the blink of an eye if they do, and you'll simply watch their back for them instead.

After all...
You have eyes everywhere.

Of course, an invitation to demonstrate your powers at the GHOST Complex was very enticing. The GHOST Complex, where rumors circulate that the walls have ears, and the doors have...

Abilities - Ultimate Thousand-Eyes
  • At night, you can place up to three ghostly eye sensors into player-made holes on the map. You can smash or damage any part of the map to form holes for your extra eyes, but you must physically touch a hole to spawn an eye in it.
    • Each eye needs its own hole, two eyes cannot share the same hole.
  • Your vision through an eye sensor is dependent on the size of the hole it occupies, and its position within the room. These eyes are only as capable of sight as your own, meaning you cannot see well in dimly lit areas or anything in total darkness.
  • At any point, you can close or cover your body's "main" eyes, and switch to perceiving sight and vision through any number of the eye sensors.
    • What you see will be returned in your night results, and can be memory checked, but the detail and clarity weakens the more rooms you view simultaneously. Your physical body also becomes harder to move reliably.
    • Viewing…
      • 1-2 rooms provides clear vision and allows for typical body movement if your body is in one of these rooms, otherwise your body movement is restricted to broad gestures.
      • 3+ rooms always restricts your movement to broad gestures, you lose the ability to reliably memcheck these results.
      • 4+ rooms requires you to keep your body completely still and focused to maintain some kind of clarity. Moving or being moved will cause your results to mix between rooms.
      • 5+ rooms: Your vision will mix, blur, and become confusing no matter what, scaling with the number of eyes you open at once. You will only be able to see vague shapes or light in each room you are monitoring, and cannot fully interpret your vision.
  • You start the game with three ghostly eye sensors. Each night, you gain an extra three eye sensors for use.
  • An eye can be disabled by having its corresponding hole filled in, but this does not return the eye for use.
  • Ghostly interactions:
    • A player shining darklight on an eye sensor's hole will see a glowing ghostly eye.
    • Your eyes are weak to objects "poking" them out. When this happens, that eye sensor will be disabled for the rest of the night, regaining functionality the next night.
    • Despite being ghostly, your eye sensors lack darklightvision. You cannot see ghostly objects unless they are lit with darklight, or you have a darklight lens in front of the hole the eye resides in.
  • Weaknesses: You are extra weak to becoming blinded or having your vision impaired unexpectedly. Rooms suddenly turning dark may stun you momentarily.
  • Forbidden Action: You cannot go completely blind at any point of the game. You must maintain at least one functional non-ghostly eye to remain alive.

CASE FILES:
-Portricia is slumped over one of the sharp Cliffside spikes, and she's out of reach. You can see she's bleeding heavily, and covered in blue paint. There appears to be some kind of wreckage in the abyss, and many broken rock spires. You may need to ask someone to help recover the body, and anything else at the bottom of the cliff.
-There's a ridiculous amount of paint scattered in the 1F Hallways, near multiple doors.
-Someone has slain the large, fishy, firey slime mass Under The Ice for good.
-The Exhibits are all in total disrepair. Someone has crashed a plane into the plexiglas chamber in the Aviation Exhibit. The train has careened off the rails in the Train Exhibit.
-The West Gallery has been trashed even further.
-The Coatroom has been set ablaze, and its contents burned to bits.
-The gate to the Pit Mine has been locked once more. Accessing the high pressure minecart route will require the gate being opened again.
-The power was briefly out in the whole Complex tonight, but all has been restored, save for the Clock Tower. It's been stopped completely.
-A large beanstalk has shot through the middle of the Hollow Tree, revealing the Tree Tops.
-The hole in the 2F West Hallway has been fixed! However, there is a new hole in the 2F East Hallway.
-The Dark Moon Shard of Secret Stealth has been claimed by Dr. Lyra Orpheus. She possesses a new power.
-The Dark Moon Shard of Haunted Stamina has been claimed by the wraith Captain Cuttlefish. He possesses a new power, and has revived as a full player. He is not the killer, and will be immune to execution today.

Day 4 ends . Make sure you investigate wisely! Accounts will be sent out over the coming hours.

Kyeheheh... Kyaha... Kyahahahaha!

Finally, in addition to the Sun Stone, I've finally done it. I've gotten my hands on a shard of the Dark Moon! There was never any doubt, of course - I really had to plunder the depths of my imagination to keep this whole thing under wraps. The location, I mean. Kyehehe, I was almost sweating during that whole "investigate at your own leisure" thing... but I pulled through. A product of my undeniable genius, surely!

And now... With the power of this little shard and the Sun Stone combined... Finally, I should be able to do it. To shed my bindings and reach a third level of Thalassic synchronization. Yes... I can feel it. The Bureau's control slipping. The chains of their mental conditioning, rusting and falling away!

lyraaberration1_Custom_ohbbsd.png

The thrashing of the waves, the echoed songs of a million lost things, begging, yearning to be dredged from the deepest trenches of the human mind.... The time for experimentation, for documentation and research... Kyaha... ha... That time has come to an end - now is the time for application, for the execution of untold power in the realm of the tangible.

Now, is the time for free-

//:Now, I believe that as long as I maintain this Esoteric link, I'll be able to maintain direct conversation.

Though I am sure you have overheard my dialogues with Dr. Orpheus, it is a pleasure to finally be able to speak "face" to face - you who live
beyond the Lantern's light, where magic runs free and untainted. I doubt we will speak directly again, and therefore I don't believe names are of particular importance. Or, perhaps we will. It depends how interesting the events to follow are, doesn't it?

Ordinarily, I would tell you to refer to me simply as a representative of the Bureau of Paranormal Investigation's upper management. I lead the internal division referred to as the "Abyss Team", and that would ordinarily be all you would need to know... But in keeping with the list of titles that Dr. Orpheus partially leaked from Zooks' computer, I believe it's in both of our interests to be up front, no?

My designated title is
DARKFOREST.://

whiteboard_darkmoon_yveqah.png

//:It took an unfathomable effort to get even this far, you know.

A field of research yet untouched even within our humble bureau. A contract, an agreement made across muffled transmissions with a voice across the astral plane. Dr. Zooks... He sought the same as our Bureau; to learn about the magic that lies within the infinite branches of reality. And here she stands, the fruit of our work made manifest! A projection across the fabric of that which lies between. Such a curious thing, yes? And she's done such productive things too - the Sun Stone in our hands at long last, with a Dark Moon shard to follow - as you'll see soon.

The Sun Stone... an artifact of great Liturgic significance. Worship from an ancient age, persisting in sheer radiance until this modern age. Bloodshed. Sacrifice. Power. All the fervent things that mankind believes in, poured into a single radiant stone. It's everything we could've asked for. To that extent, she has followed instructions wonderfully.://

folder_hjzujy.png

//:Of course, this work has been performed under the protection of an agreement I've made with our secondary host - the Anomaly we have identified as BPI-0103 - "King Blocky Boo". Dr. Orpheus' Dark Moon shard will be his by the end of this game, and we will retain the rights to utilize any and all data regarding the Sun Stone and the shard both in our future endeavors. The truth is, she has accomplished everything she has needed to - and besides the artifacts she has already secured and analyzed... we have largely deemed this place to be of little use.

This world is not the one we sought, no no. Quite the opposite. This world is simple, a wasteland of ghostly experimentation and elemental magic, all covered within the existing Esoteric categories of Telluric and Thalassic. Yours is a puzzle-box world, a facsimile of a facsimile. A place to be solved and abandoned. A place not worth exploring. At least, not without significant harm to our cooperative ally - who we've deemed a worthy inheritor of this miserable place. ://

handsout_fmysie.png

//:In other words, we've learned all we need to know - and as such... you may feel free to dispose of this girl. ://

mouthopenneutral_hrmflw.png

//:Kill her, vote her out when other options become scarce, do what you will. I'm quite familiar with the nature of the ritual being conducted here, and I'm well aware that a variety of options exist to deal with unsavory characters.

She is an... Esoteric Projection. A transference of soul across the veil into a spectral manifestation in the target world - the usage of the Esoteric technology you refer to as "Darklights" will quickly reveal that much. If you kill her, she will simply return her consciousness to our own reality to prepare for another excursion into other, more pressing matters. In this sense, it is beneficial for both of us if you just kill her, isn't it? Why, by my count, she's been horrible to each and every one of you. If not dismissive and cruel, she's been, frankly, annoying and entirely too vocal for her own good. You are in your best interests to kill her and spare yourself the trouble.

She'll kill again, just you wait. Is that something you want to deal with? A hanging loose end? Well, that's a liability for both of us, isn't it? Our legal department doesn't dabble in cross-world cases, so I'm afraid the most I can do is reiterate my advice.://

phone1_ss2umo.png

Let her die.

//:Go ahead. You may have my assurance that she is repaying a debt - a debt borne from betrayal much like that inflicted upon your little gathering - and she has far more work to do. The alternative, of course, is that you let her live - let this murderer walk among your number. Far be it for me to judge such moral quandaries, but is it in your best interests to mingle with one who has went out of their way to belittle and lie to every single one of you? In either case, she is out of our hands now. We at the Bureau of Paranormal Investigation take no responsibilities for her actions, and as we have offered an alternative means of easily eliminating this future threat, we are not liable for any damages she may cause.://

Right, the uh... Dark Moon Shard. I... have it now, as I think I... said. I got it from the basement, the meteorite chunk in the minecart. There was... something I was gonna do with it, but... I don't remember what it was. My head is killing me.

I'll... post about my night when I can. I think I need to lie down.

Hm, my first thought, seeing her dead in the Cliffside, is the use of the Pixelator in the Solarium, so I will Investigate that room for any signs of a struggle or murder
I also want to see if you can move a dead body through the Pixelators

Oh. Someone died. I guess I can help you find the body too since she's basically a thing now... Wait you're looking for who killed her? Living things aren't my jurisdiction, but I suppose I can try to help. I haven't worried about death in ages. Lets see.. Porticia is covered in blue paint, and there's lots of paint in the first floor hallways.

Examine the mess of 1F Hallways. If there's time, look in the Studio too.

If we learn Porticia was the one carrying the blue paint, it would probably simplify this case. Then again, someone else could have painted her. I hope its not that; that would make this so much harder.

You examine the Solarium.

The room is flooded with water, but appears to be drying fast due to the sun and stony ground, and its now patchy in places. You'd probably need to examine specific parts of it for details. The Pixelator is on, and you ask Mona to act as a dead body for you to haul her through it. As with all Pixelator journeys, it seems it needs to be powered, and you need to push a button or flash it with darklight to get it to work. It sends her into the Cliffside.

You don't really hear from Mona after that. ....someone might want to rescue her as well now.

You examine the 1F Hallways. You note there's prominent paint splatters in front of the doors to the Old Bedrooms, the Gloomy Bedrooms, the Studio, and the Coatroom. Without gazing too much into the mess that may lie beyond these doors, you examine that all four paint splatters are blue, while there's a red splatter underneath the blue splatter on the west Studio door.

Inside the Studio, you examine for missing art supplies. Obviously, a lot has been taken. A prominent canvas is now missing, with a discarded art palette left behind. Also missing is some tape, a smock, some bottles, string, and copious cans of paint. You also note the golden key is missing.

Go through the pixelator myself and see how Mona would end up on the other side, if it matches Portricia's body, and also bring Mona back to the facility

You enter through the Pixelator after Mona, and it launches you up the Cliffside as you arc in mid-air. Due to the position of the camera, you have to quickly catch yourself on the rocks before you plummet to your death. It seems very dangerous. Probably why there's a bunch of safety warning posters near this area. The Cliffside itself appears to have tire marks leading over the edge, breaking through some of the barriers erected here previously.

Mona can't be seen, but you suppose there are differences in how their bodies interact with the terrain. Your ultimate result is inconclusive. You head to grab a long rope for Mona to climb onto, but it seems there's no response.

Tanner floats down, and he brings back pieces of her armor, leaving the other wreckage and body behind. You double check the map, and the Paranormal Dimension, and your stomach drops when you realize...

...wraiths can't enter the Cliffside.

Mona is now missing! She will be unresponsive for a short while.

Fascia's happy tonight. Happy and safe.

I worried about her. She wasn't safe before. There's lots of people trying to harm the art housed in this facility, including Fascia. They've already ruined everything, except for my Fascia and my Fibula.

It's sad. Miss Porticia seemed to appreciate things like that, so we could have been friends. Fascia would have liked to taste the vitreous, I think. It would've parched her thirst.

Fascia's happy and safe... happy and safe. She's fine now. I have Fascia back where she belongs. I won't lose her again... I won't. So I'm okay with whatever happens now that Fascia's safe.

She wants to hear what Vigil and Tanner have to say about Miss Porticia and whether there was an accomplice. Please carry out Fascia's request.

She also would not mind hearing about your nights, if it doesn't take too long. Fascia wants her first request more than this. I can tell by the tremors in her voice.

Fascia... I haven't heard her like this before... how she sings...

You ask Vigil to perform his autopsy. Tanner floats down the Cliffside and retrieves Portricia's body, but not the extra belongings or wreckage scattered into the cliffs below.

As he does, Tanner shudders a bit. He says there's been some gruesome ways to go out since he took under the wing of his new boss, but finally, he feels like there's an accomplice for this one. He feels it in his scythe. KBB pats him on the head.

Vigils examination begins. He puffs a pink cigar, which engulfs Tanner this time, as he borrows his tongue to speak more modernly.

The autopsy reveals that her body is severely damaged. She's been bruised heavily, her right lung is punctured, she has a few wounds on her back in different shapes, her ribcage is caved in, her body has many broken bones. Her bruising is less pronounced, but remains all over her body to boot. While she was found hanging against the spires of the cliffside, he says its likely something heavy collided with her, but this time, the sheer amount of damage her corpse has sustained makes his assertion less confident. You might have to ask him specific questions for him to run further tests. She's coated in blue paint, and her clothes are drenched in water and blood. Her satchel has been emptied.

If she had nine lives, then tonight would have taken out thirteen of them.

You want people to recap what they did at Night? The whole thing? Now I'm really questioning if this is worth my time. I guess if it helps... Give me a bit. I have to gather my thoughts.

Those eye powers sound exhausting to use. I wonder if Portricia actually used them. I wouldn... oh... I spotted an odd eye very late in the night, after the weird power outage. It might have been from her. And it blinked. Dead people don't blink... If independent ghost eyes work like normal eyes, Portricia would have been alive until very late in the night. Actually... everyone follow me for a moment.

Go to the Study, where I saw one of ghost eyes. Is it still there? Examine it, and press it for information if possible. Might as well look at the rest of the Study too.

If we think Portricia drove a vehicle off the Cliffside, then maybe the killer knew she was driving somewhere and blinded her through one of the ghost eyes.

You examine the Study. Someone's set up a theory board and workstation here with Winter's documents and laptop for analysis. The notes on the exhibits are kind of piecemeal, with gaps here and there as people have taken the relevant parts for their own use. There's an awkward gap in the bookshelves, where indeed, you take a darklight and find the eye. It seems it occupies a hole thats been jabbed out of the wall. It's... unresponsive however. It doesn't follow your movements at all. It just stares. Unblinking. Possibly forever, now.

While you fail to yield any information from the wall eye, you note the possibility that Portricia made other holes with eyes in them in the Complex.

The eye is still here, which should mean any other eyes should still be present. Ugh, really hoping it doesn't actually add up to one thousand. Was there a eye in the Sewer? I think there was, but I was focusing on other things while I was down there.

There's an eye in the Sewer, just below the outflow channel. Examine it. Since there's nothing else going on, additionally see if there's anything else of note in the Sewer.

You examine the Sewer. Fortunately, after the crisp rat incident last night, there is nothing of note for you to find today. You again examine the eye that was uncovered yesterday. Portricia claimed she knew nothing about this, but its exactly the same as the eye in the Study. Maybe a bit bigger. It, too, remains unresponsive.
