This game is now a quarter of a century old. I've never played this, so I don't have a lot to say about it. But anyway, this game is pretty much a "Super Mario Kart 2", so it definitely looks like a weak one. But what do you guys think about it?

Why loathe what Mario Kart Tour did to it when Mario Kart World doesn't have GBA courses at all? At least Mario Kart Tour still felt like including them lolI absolutely loathe what Mario Kart Tour did to it
Totally agree. When people rank the series they always put this one on the bottom just above Super Mario Kart. That's obviously understandable, but I think I would place it above 64. Super Circuit fully maxed out with its track design. And I think 64 could have done better with its ability to use 3D.It's a game that I personally think is underrated and doesn't really quite play like the rest of the Mario Kart titles, but I also found it difficult to recommend to newer players just because of its age and still relying on Mode 7 graphics to achieve what it's trying to do. That said, I enjoy its tricky stage layouts and I absolutely loathe what Mario Kart Tour did to it so if you want a way to enjoy the original tracks, then yeah, go play Super Circuit.
I also think everyone should play Super Circuit over Super Mario Kart if they want a retro Mario Kart experience. I don't think anyone will be missing out by skipping Super Mario Kart.
