Not that obscure, it's just that most people are ignorant of any operating system other than "pc and mac".

Some people use Linux and aren't aware of it. The new Google Chrome OS will use the Linux kernel and Android phones run Linux. That's why Android is so kickass.

Android 2.2 on my Nexus One.
iOS 4.0 on my iPod Touch (jailbroken).
Wii Menu 3.2E on my Wii.
Debian Testing on my VPS1.
Debian Stable on my VPS2.
Windows XP Pro SP2/3 on my work and school.

My primary OS is Ubuntu Linux 10.04 (and later Linux Mint Debian Edition).
