Something about the Dark Star that puzzled me... *possible spoilers*

How come in M&L:BiS, the Dark Star never talked until it turned into Dark Bowser? Is there some certain reason? The Dark Star kinda seemed to act like a curious animal or something before it asorbed Bowser's DNA or what ever those things were, but Dark Bowser just started talking and planing take over right off the bat. How come there was a huge jump in it's behavior when it transformed?

1. It thought of Mario and Luigi as garbage and not worth talking too???
2. It got bowsers "Airhead" DNA and talked a lot after that.

My guess: It didnt have a mouth until it turned into Dark Bowser. (you cant talk without a mouth)

But the Socktops didn't have mouths, there's a cut scence where atleast 5 of them talk.
