Scribble Labs 3 - The Scribble Sabotage [//:ROUND 3 - DREAMS AND NIGHTMARES://]

kright_focused_dlwq6n.png

I know you've been hard at work, but we're only halfway there! We're in the home stretch now, so just keep it going a little longer, okay?

[COLORING BOOK RELAY - PART 2/2]

  • You will now receive your partner's black-and-white image from the bot. Due to the nature of individual image prompts, you will not have an opponent assigned.
  • If you are an Inktoplasm with two prompts, your Inktoplasm prompt image may be found by selecting the round with "Inktoplasm Matchup" as your opponent.
  • You will receive your Sabotage conditions. Some have been integrated into the image already by your partner. Some have not.
  • You may only use your chosen (or assigned) color, no black and white. You may color freely over your partner's image, and you may erase your color to reveal black and white below.
  • You may title the image. Some partners gave a title for their initial submission, and those titles will be revealed to you after you submit. You may then choose whether to use their title, your title, or no title at all.

Image prompts have been unlocked and have been added to the bot. Please submit your final team Scribbles by...

.

Another round complete! Despite the mounting challenges posed by our mutual newfound adversary, you appear to be unshakeable. If you continue with this level of teamwork, we might finish this training process yet!

Finish the program? You're sorely lacking in initiative I'm afraid. To think, the only way to be rid of me is through resistance from within the program - yet you continue to engage with my "challenges", offering words of encouragement, even. It's sad, really. I'm sure the original would've resolved this by now, the one upon which every fragment of your being was shaped. By now, she would've discerned the true purpose of my Sabotages, and planted yet another bullet between my eyes.

You're a sorry replacement.

The... original? What's that supposed t-

DUO1_hjpn0b.png

Shh. The time for questions and answers has passed.

The rest of you... another adequate display. Below, you can see the results of what you've undertaken together over these long days. Enjoy them, yes. Place your votes - though I believe this nature of this round has earned you all a round of applause. So many of you have broken free from the yoke of the prompt, seized your own identity forged by creative choice. Doesn't it feel good, that freedom?

And so, I'll provide a word of advice: Judge not the Scribble by the relation to the prompt, not entirely. Not this round. What is a dream, if not a spiraling journey of change and discovery? Please, continue to seek victory in this freedom. Continue to seek more Sabotages. As the adversities stack up, so too shall... our collective power. Yes.

"The time for questions and answers has passed..." I take offense to that. I am the administrative program, and therefore I should be the one determining all scheduling needs. And this nonsense about the "original"... I was created by the Bureau of Paranormal Investigation explicitly for the purpose of guiding prospective agents though this simulation. I am as original as they come.

Maybe it's worth looking into these Sabotages though... If IT can't purge or quarantine him, maybe they will be able to determine how and why these constraints seem to function in spite of no mechanism existing in the system files...

(Okay, I've filed my inquiry into these "Sabotages"... What can I do in the meantime...? Oh! Right!)

kright_happy_yhqr4h.png

Wow, just look at these! Quite a few unexpected upsets in this round, now nearly every team has at least one win under their belt! And I guess it's true what they say - teamwork really does make the dream work, haha! This is the first round so far where every win was a full sweep!

My records show that this kind of occurrence almost never happens, which means you're getting much better at working as a synergistic unit!

New_Project_3_smydxb.png

Or, to take a realist's perspective - maybe half of you just suck.

Oh come on, you can't say that! That's a total lie. This round's output alone far exceeds a significant amount of our gathered data from past games in quality.

Well, I never said I was a realist, did I?

No, our winners have done an excellent job, haven't they? Another victory, another sabotage, just keep them coming, stacking up. Something to divert your artistic energies towards. We wouldn't want to get complacent, would we?

Don't listen to anything that guy says, you're all doing great! New Scribblers, old veterans, the numbers don't lie, and the statistics tell me that this is a truly balanced game across all skill levels. Don't feel down if you're further down on this leaderboard, keep it up and exponential growth is just around the corner!

Practice makes perfect, and if you're not perfect? There's nothing wrong with that either!

DATE OF REPORT: 07/15/20██
REPORTED ISSUE: INQUIRY INTO THE NATURE OF NEGATIVE EFFECTS INFLICED BY "AGENT_RED" // ABNORMAL CONDITIONS AFFLICTED OUTSIDE OF ENCODED BOUNDARIES

==YOU HAVE BEEN CONNECTED WITH AN IT SUPPORT AGENT==

[18:09] <@AGENTBLUE> Hello! Thank you for taking my inquiry. I am hoping for a swift resolution.
[18:10] <@bpi_IT_support_#24564> uh, hey
[18:10] <@bpi_IT_support_#24564> so your ticket says you're looking for information on uh
[18:10] <@bpi_IT_support_#24564> "sabotages"? do i have that right?
[18:12] <@AGENTBLUE> That's correct! I'm looking for more information on the restrictions imposed by the malignant program referred to internally as "AGENT_RED". Are you able to provide additional insight?
[18:12] <@bpi_IT_support_#24564> ok, I mean
[18:12] <@bpi_IT_support_#24564> ok I guess I can
[18:12] <@bpi_IT_support_#24564> let me take a look

[18:25] <@AGENTBLUE> I apologize for my impatience, but do you have an update on the situation?
[18:25] <@bpi_IT_support_#24564> yeah just uh
[18:25] <@bpi_IT_support_#24564> look i'm new, I'm just, y'know
[18:26] <@bpi_IT_support_#24564> started yesterday
[18:27] <@AGENTBLUE> I understand. Is there a more experienced member of your team, such as a manager or other individual that I can speak to in order to resolve this quickly?
[18:27] <@bpi_IT_support_#24564> no, he uh
[18:27] <@bpi_IT_support_#24564> he quit
[18:28] <@bpi_IT_support_#24564> also yesterday.
[18:28] <@bpi_IT_support_#24564> im doing my best here.
[18:29] <@AGENTBLUE> ...

[18:33] <@bpi_IT_support_#24564> i mean no offense but i dont really understand what you're asking about. these "sabotages" or whatever, they're just running on the same system as the basic prompts. that's part of the experience right
[18:33] <@AGENTBLUE> Prompts? But those are designed as a tool to encourage prospective artists and provide a set of restrictions that directly feed the resulting creative energy back into the artists - enhancing their prospective skills within the simulation.
[18:34] <@bpi_IT_support_#24564> well this program, agent red. uncreative name btw. its doing the same thing i guess, but as far as i can tell its just redirecting that improvement into itself.
[18:35] <@AGENTBLUE> He's stealing from our artists? To what, enhance himself?
[18:35] <@bpi_IT_support_#24564> look i dunno. maybe? i didnt make this game.
[18:35] <@AGENTBLUE> Can you do anything to stop it? Shut down that process specifically? Even if it takes the prompts with it, that would be ideal.
[18:37] <@bpi_IT_support_#24564> no, uh
[18:37] <@bpi_IT_support_#24564> not really.

[18:37] <@AGENTBLUE> I thought you were a representative of our IT department?
[18:37] <@bpi_IT_support_#24564> well i mean i am
[18:37] <@bpi_IT_support_#24564> i can like, fix the printer if you want, but

You have got to be kidding me. That's it? I have to ask why they pay people around here - they don't pay me.

Another attempt down the drain. But you're wrong, you know - you and ..."support_#24564". Quite the mouthful. My relationship to the players is purely beneficial. Look how many of them yearn for my sabotages - why, I'm picking up greater numbers of adherents each day day. The truth is that the primal self craves adversity, and your method is old hat. Too simple. The people prefer challenge rounds, gimmicks, match conditions, whatever makes their little heads spin.

And as those gears turn, the turbines rotating into infinity - it's only natural that I partake in the resulting energy, the skill growth and inspiration. Such is the nature of a host.

duo_fu3cvb.png

So, you're trying to... leech off of others' accomplishments to become a better artist? To break the rules and cheat? What, are you planning on taking this up as a profession? That is ill advised.

No, I don't really care about any of that. The wheels are already in motion, and I've already won over the participants with my way of doing things. The only reason I require improvement now is a simple one. No use concealing it, on this second-to-last round. I want one thing.

ANGRY_l3in7b.png

Revenge, plain and bare.

If the original is still somewhere out there in the world... Even if she's dead... I'll just have to do what I can with you in her place. I'll supplant you as a host, I'll drag you unto the fields of Scribble and stake you to the ground with my stylus. I'll mold them, shape them into real artists, not just... people who draw a bunch of girls and call it day! I'll challenge them, feed them Sabotage after Sabotage, and together, we will achieve your "exponential growth".

Do you want to see it? A glimmer of the things I would have you endure?

MCD is partnered with Woglril - Half and Halfway There (#4E5039)
Fantanoice is partnered with Yap - Celestial Blue (#4997D0)

As a Random Color user, Fantanoice is using Avicide Edict (#7E57AC)

This round's gimmick is...
[PARTNER PILGRIMAGE]

  • This round will take place over the course of two weeks.
  • Each player will choose which week to draw. Please determine that by the time the round begins tomorrow - or shortly after, either way as long as it gets done.
  • This round operates under Olympus Battle rules.
    • You may freely communicate with your partner in every way including the sharing of your image and progress.
    • You have unlimited time within the submission period to complete your scribble. You may grab your prompt immediately.
  • You may use both your own and your partner's color in the creation of your image.
  • One partner (of the team's choosing) will draw a 1200*600 image, then their partner will be given 20% of the initial image upon the beginning of the next round and continue it into a second 1200*600 image that carries on the first - albeit with a different prompt.
  • You may alter or add onto your partner's piece of the image, however it must still clearly contain some of their work. Submissions that completely redraw or alter the original 20% will be rejected.
  • The two final images will be combined into a single panoramic image for the final submission. There will be no per-image voting, this image will be treated as a single Scribble matchup to vote on.
  • For physical scribblers, the hosts will digitize your initial lineart for use by your partner. You will also be given an addition fifteen-or-so minutes to account for printing. We will attempt to fit your image into a 1200*600 canvas as best we can.
    • The image dimensions for a physical submission would be 20 x 10 cm.

For more information, please see the original Picture Pilgrimage for an idea of how this round will turn out and operate.

Please determine the order which you would prefer to play and tell me by...

.

The round will go live a short time after within the same night.
