Do you prefer the aisle, middle, or window?

I prefer the aisle, if I'm being honest. You don't have to ask anyone to get up if you need to use the restroom. It's also easier to get off afterwards when you're not waiting for everyone else to grab their bags.

I will grab the window seat on the train or bus considering they do stop every few hours. Everyone usually gets off for those stops anyway, so you can just use the restroom then. On the train, I'm usually seated by myself anyway.

Where do you prefer to sit when flying?

Window seat. I like the views.

Aisle is my backup for the reasons you said though. Middle is my anti-preference.

I actually prefer the middle seat, even though it's a tight squeeze. Something about having a person on each side of me offers a feeling of security. Though, I haven't yet had the misfortune of being next to someone unpleasant.

Failing that, window seat for the views. The aisle seat is my last choice for a plane.

Window seat easily wins as if I'm ever bored in whatever I'm doing on the plane, I can look out and see the view. Aisle is ok. Middle is definitely my least favorite. Thankfully I've only ever flied with family, so I never have to deal with strangers next to me, but when the time comes and I have to fly alone to reach my college, if I get middle seat, it will be a nightmare.
