Looking for a Poll Vice Chairperson!

As you all know, the Poll Chairperson Election is coming next month and I'm planning on electing myself this year! Though I'd rather not it alone, so I'm looking for a Vice Chairperson!

As Vice Chairperson you'll think of good poll questions (along with me and the rest of the staff) and you'll end up helping on deciding which question is good enough to be a poll.

Now you may be asking. Why should you be my Vice Chairperson? Here's a little description about myself and what I've got in store:

I'm fairly active anywhere on the wiki right now (the wiki itself, Mario Boards and Discord). Since December I'm really focused on helping this wiki. I may not have much experience but I can think of a good question if I need to. And I mean, everyone deserves to try on their first try. It may not go perfect since it's my first try but we've been there on my first try, but we've all been there. It may not go perfect but we're trying our best (on our first try).
I don't have any big ideas for the Poll Committee just now, I think the Committee is already good for what it is. I may change my mind sometime though. I know this is a big (not so big but still big) responsibility and I wanna take that responsibility. I think I would be fairly good in making these questions. I mean I've got 2 weeks to think of a good one and I got help. But I think a Poll Vice Chairperson would be nice. Just having a partner (or running mate, if you wanna call it that) that has got your back is very important. And then, they also get a chance to join the Poll Committee if they originally didn't wanna elect themselves. Don't worry on not being able to contact me, since, as I said, I'm active on every MarioWiki-platform!

And now you know a bit more about me! So, what do you think?

If you are interested, please send an application to me with an explanation on why you would like to be my Poll Vice Chairperson! The application doesn't have to be anything fancy! Just tell me who you are, why you would like to apply for the position, why you think you're suited for it, and what platform(s) you're active on! If you got any questions for me, don't be afraid to ask! I will be accepting applications until !

Not to interrupt or anything, but being Vice Chairperson would basically mean assisting the Chairperson and making sure everything goes smoothly.

Those in the Chairperson position may provide additional responsibilities and duties, but ultimately it's up to whoever's in charge.

Thanks for doing the explanation, @Sparks!

No offense, my friend, but I don't think you're going to find much success on this front here - or at least you likely won't attract many quality candidates. You're asking people to apply to be your vice-chairperson, but you haven't said anything about yourself or made any example of why anyone would want to be your vice-chairperson.

What is your platform? Do you have any experience that would make you a good candidate? Do you have any ideas for the committee? Why should someone partner with you instead of running for Chairperson themselves if they are interested? All of these are important questions, and would definitely help you attract talent. I say this not to thoughtlessly criticize or to bully, but instead to give you some direction. Even though as it stands you "don't have to do anything fancy" to apply, it's a tall order to ask for applications without any ideals, goals, experience, etc. that would make anyone want to bother.

I don't think being PC Chair is particularly difficult tbh, and someone can excel without having experience or any particular grand plans, but you do need to sell yourself - and that goes for recruiting a vice-chair as well.

Well I think I can answer

Well I think I can answer most, if not all, of these.

1. If you mean platform as in where I show up online, since December I'm very on the wiki, Mario Boards and the Discord (unrelated but I also have a YouTube account named "DoodleBob" with 905 subscribers)
2. Well I may not have much experience but I can think of a good question if I need to. And I mean, everyone deserves to try on their first try. It may not go perfect since it's my first try but we've been there on my first try, but we've all been there. It may not go perfect but we're trying our best (on our first try).
3. If you mean any ideas for the Poll Committee to fully change something? Not for now, I think the Committee is already good for what it is now. I may change my mind sometime though.
4. I know this is a big (not so big but still big) responsibility and I wanna take that responsibility. I think I would be fairly good in making these questions. There you go!

If you don't mind I'd also like to ask you some questions.

What duties would your Vice Chairperson have? I know in an above post I said that they help the Chairperson and make sure everything goes smoothly, but do you have any other tasks for them? If you provide what they have to do, your odds of getting a Vice Chairperson will improve. Right now, no one is signing up (presumably) because they don't know what they're getting into, and may be overwhelmed by the time they gain the position. Once you list the tasks, someone will say "I can do this!" and join your side.

How will you be able to keep in touch with them? Think of some method to provide quick and easy communication between you two. If your Vice Chairperson only active on the Mario Boards? Then a PM would be the best option. If they happen to use Discord the most, then a DM may help them better than a forum PM. Communication is key to make sure everything goes as planned!

Will you make sure you lead the Committee the entire term? Let's say midway through the term you lose all interest and leave the Poll Committee. I'm not saying that will happen, but will you have the motivation to get through it all? You don't want the Vice Chairperson to take your place when they aren't ready.

2. I'm currently online on every MarioWiki-platform (Discord and Mario Boards). So doesn't matter if you (the Vice Chairperson) don't use Discord or Mario Boards (at least one is required though and even if they're not online on Mario Boards they gotta have an account of course)
3. I'm definitely up to the challenge! I won't let anyone down! I chose to be the Poll Chairperson and I'm confident I'll make it out there! It's just 26 poll questions anyway (and also 12 issues of writing the Poll Committee Discussion and Awards Analysis). This is probably the least intense big community job out of all of them.

Should I vote Yoshi
Voting for Poll Committee Chairperson starts when 'Shroom Issue 227 releases (February 21)!

EDIT: Actually, people post campaigns on the 21st. Voting starts a week later. Oops!

In an unrelated note, I'm going to announce that I also plan on running for Chairman! I expressed interest before Yoshi18 announced that he would be running. I also have a Vice Chairperson in mind, but I'm going to wait until the issue releases to announce who they are.
