Heyo! I'm gonna focus more on this game as it seems more fun than a full story-based game to begin, but here it is!

I'm working on a game that is similar to the Roller Coaster Tycoon games, where you must run a restaurant, buy ingredients, hire workers, and keep customers happy! I want to have a huge collection of items to unlock and place on the menu to sell to your customers. "Huge" as in over 500 unique items!

I'm accepting submissions for menu items and references back to usernames (such as The Escapists 2's references back to YouTubers), which you can submit as many as you'd like to here: https://forms.gle/PFQmwuNUQfCihad7A

I'll also be doing everything for the game again, and I may post updates here, too. It will either be a GameMaker game or a Java game, but I'm not sure yet.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

Just gotta remember... I can do anything, no matter how much I think I can't!

So I had a game idea, and as it seems more feasible to do than past ideas, I'll post it here.

You may know the Wariolikes (as I like to call them) that are getting popular recently, such as Pizza Tower, and you may know rougelites/likes, but this idea meshes them together. Currently, the project name is Wariougelike until I find a better name for it, but I aim to make a game like Balatro with mechanics relating to those of Wario Land 4, Pizza Tower, etc.

I want there to be lots of levels (and lots of upgrades, likewise!), so I plan on making unique themes (like industrial/factory, etc.) and making 20 levels per theme. If I wanted 600 unique levels (which is what I'm going for), I would need 30 unique themes. It would also be easy to update the game with more levels by adding a new level pack.

I go to these themes so much as instead of picking blinds like in Balatro, you pick a level theme out of the three randomized and get one of the twenty levels up for grabs (or any remaining one you haven't seen in the run so far). I also want there to be achievements for playing every level in a pack, so while it may start out as a 5% chance for each undiscovered level, in future runs, undiscovered levels would have a slightly higher chance of being pulled. Once you discover all the levels, it goes back to a starting 5% chance for each level of the pack.

Ideas are very much a WIP, and I'll be learning Godot for this, but I am liking how this idea looks.

(While you could say I'm taking the "Pizza Tower: Scoutdigo: No Promises" mod's ideas, it is stapled to that game. I want to make a unique game that takes that kind of idea and runs with it in the other direction)

I'm creating levels in Levelhead as well as a test in Game Builder Garage that use this kind of "get to end, hit switch, leave before time runs out" thing, and the Levelhead level is a factory level thats a bit... off. Conveyors running then briefly stopping, spikes that pop up one way, then turn around, then repeat, platforms spinning that also stop briefly, there's some level design appearing in there I'll use more of eventually.
