KO a Character: MLP Friendship is Magic Episodes (Seasons 1-9)

Wow that one wasn't too extremely away for me but I know someone else might not agree with it

Beginning of the End is still a pretty good two-parter with some mostly very good character writing and some decent twists and turns though it still feels like it could add even more new and I wish it differentiated the context of Twilight being stressed from earlier seasons she learned lessons in a bit more

SC was also preferred T10 although at #10

Taking a quick break from S9 lol. First 8, Surf and/or Turf is pleasant with a good moral and resolution, I like Terramar, and the character writing and animation is good, but occasionally it feels a bit bland, being slowly paced, the song being catchy and not bad but having too much exposition, and the CMC don't want to friends ever anymore at one point but it's quickly resolved.

I was going to say I was surprised you were letting it stay this long since you eliminated it I think around the 6s in the Seasons 8/9 game, but bit my tongue especially as while it's an 8 for me I would have sucked up it making it over any other 8 as there aren't a lot of 9+s for me

This episode has been stalling out long enough

Okay, as of cutting this, now everything left is an 8/10 or higher for me, so I officially consider everything left in this thread to be very good! Some episodes left are still much better than others!

Yeah no two-parter is a top priority for me either here

The 8/10s get better with a 4-ep ranking gap after this cut so I'll probably save doing part of the grunt work to cut a previous winner for a move or two after this

I know this may be a slightly disagreed on cut since you didn't care about eliminating it before it made it to #6/52 for the last thread it was in. However, Growing Up is Hard To Do is still a very good episode with it being fun and funny to see the CMC as adults, great animation even for the show, fun animal worldbuilding, and a good moral execution. All I can say is that occasionally the CMC's writing feels a bit uneven such as that they were fine at understanding how a train works in Sweetie Belle Toils but are suddenly bad at it here.

and there goes my favorite episode of s9. we're officially at the point where it's likely one of my 8s makes the finale. there's one in particular im fine with since it's a high 8 but mostly, oof

anyway perfect pear is getting robbed again, sorry. good episode but overrated for me. i genuinely would swap this for mane thing for my ideal S5 top 5, tbh

hmmm if your next cut is from S7 that could be pretty to my liking or pretty to my disliking, including that my guess is it's one of two episodes. where one is ideal T5 and the other guess is one of the last upper 8s

EDIT: Nooo tpp is overrated and not one of my preferred two picks but I liked it by this rounds standards (it was ideal t5)

it already won a game so i knew it was dying so it's fine, but gun to my head i think health of information may very well be the best episode in the series. it does everything right imo

Hoi is my favorite of the three seasons distinctly I just don't want a previous winner

Yikes the one ideal t5 s9 episode left gone

Sparkle's Seven is very good with good strategies by the Mane Six and a great twist although Zephyr comes across as having learned very little from FB so even though I liked him in that episode itself I disliked his writing here

Royal Problem is an exciting compelling episode though it's another one where Starlight is a bit quick with magic but it's portrayed as all working out anyway, although she otherwise handles the situation well

I wasn't expecting S9 to fall from glory like that as I was hoping Common Ground would at least maybe make it. But these are all a great list of episodes with a couple of them being some of my favorites.

Oh my goodness this was such a difficult choice to make. All of these episodes are well done! If I was to remove one though, it'd be The Return of Harmony Part 1 to be consistent with the second part of the other remaining two-parters. It sets up everything so well though!

I decided not to make a cut last night since it was my birthday though that is what i would have cut just because we didn't need both. instead i have a bit of bitterness towards a certain result from the previous game so i am correcting history on that front

Ok good BUBD was 11th/14

This episode is 13th/14 on this list (considering the stuff with Return of Harmony) for me, it has great chemistry between Starlight and Trixie and a great moral obtained by it being interesting to see Starlight go through so much agony considering outcomes of the the S5 two parters, but other episodes feel like they have even more of a creative scale and the subplot has one funny joke with the timer but that's kinda it. I'm keeping my 14th/14 this cut out of niceness as it's one user's preferred winner of the entire series but it's my next cut (sorry but I know that episode might win if I don't step in such as if more than three users start to play as it's popular in the fandom too)
