I always find it interesting that with Daring Doubt almost everyone in the fandom seems to really dislike it but it still somehow at least has a 7.4/10 on IMDb, especially when some other episodes have gotten much worse rated in the show such as around a 4.5, in the case of NCC as Sparks pointed out. Anyhow this is a bad episode, it tries to smear Daring constantly and it has stupid plot holes like how Ahuizotl is portrayed as a well-intentioned guardian just doing his job here but he wanted to burn everywhere in 800 years of heat in Daring Don't.

One more 2/10 episode left is up next, it could be interchanged with being a very low 3 and I know it's strongly disliked by at least one user here anyway but I still really don't like it

Father Knows Beast had an okay song I guess but it felt repetitive about redoing elements of Dragon Quest and Sludge felt one-note and he could have been more interestingly executed, such as if you saw a good side to him too but also a predominant bad side. I can see why it could at least gain a point or two with people who really don't like constant character redemptions though I guess

Yay the episode I just alluded to might be going extremely soon went, now time to cut the last episode in my bottom 10 of this round. This is the lowest 3/10 for me but also the only 3 left since 246G and Rockhoof were already cut. Luck doesn't look good much at all in terms of how many 4s I'm going to have to sludge through though, there are ten 4/10 episodes left, and eleven if you count a two-parter as two episodes

I mean I didn't think Mean 6 was an amazing episode obnoxious to see eliminated either. Also my rating of Mean 6 dropped after I originally watched it from a 7 to a 5 after thinking about why some people don't like it but I still just feel like there are much worse episodes, seeing the Mean Six be over the top mean but be mistaken as the Mane Six was tolerable noise to watch for me but not much else stands out

My first 4 to cut came between an episode where the second half has good moments but the first half is very poorly done to the point of essentially having nothing to offer, versus an episode a bit more even distribution subpar through its run time, but I suppose I'll eliminate the former first. I know a lot of people don't like both episodes so these two cuts I doubt will be controversial

Going to remove Sweet and Smoky now. It's been almost 2 years since I watched, this episode, but from what I remember it was an attempt to redeem Garble after all the trouble he put Spike through in the past.

Yikes people keep cutting 5s and 6s for me instead of the 4s, I guess the silver lining is that whenever the 4s run out things should get better a bit quicker

Last cut tonight, this episode has elements that are fine but Twilight's character is too regressed and sometimes mean-spirited. While not as bad as the two episodes in my bottom 3 of S9 predominantly because of OOC problems, 246G and DDr because Twilight does get punished unlike Rainbow and Rarity respectively, it is still not a great episode for her.

Shadow Play is the first episode being cut that I found to be good instead of just positive-leaning, but I can see how people who really don't like redemptions and don't think interesting lore in and of itself is enough to make an episode good tend to like it less than the people who have those opinions less strongly or don't have them. I did think seeing the Pillars come to life and see how it played out was cool although it helped that I liked each of the episodes with them but I will admit it wasn't perfect, that Twilight was a bit quick to want to execute such a weird plan too was a flaw

Next up is a third 4 that I doubt anyone will care that it's going, even though its detractors seem to dislike it a bit less strongly than the people who don't like End in Friend or Trivial Pursuit. While not abysmal it has in a way a less bad shade of some problems in Yakity-Sax where the moral is to learn to do what you consider fun but the characters doing so has a negative effect on other characters' routines (Applejack and Apple Bloom hindering Big Mac, in this instance). After this I'm going to be cutting my least favorite two-parter of MLP.

School Daze next. This episode's moral is another not executed very well as just because Neighsay is racist and shouldn't be in charge of judging Twilight's school doesn't change that she still should have taken actions to make it more safe and that saying it was unsafe was a valid point. I know almost everyone seems to agree that this episode is alright so this might be mildly unpopular of an opinion to put it at 4 stars but I'm still cutting it here.

Flurry of Emotions being in my bottom 3 of Season 7 still shows that the season could be worse, but I still found this episode to be pretty slow where I wasn't the most invested at best, and the way the moral sounds at the end comes across as not giving enough recognition towards the fact that sometimes you do need to spend more time with who you're taking care of.

Only four more 4/10 episodes and some of the ones left are distinctly less bad than the 4s at the beginning but there def still a few

I actually was fine with Rock Solid Friendship as a low 7, I can see why it went considering it has a similar structure to NSP and sometimes Pinkie can be a bit much but I liked its moral about being natural about trusting your friends to learn to like each other instead of trying to force it.

There's one episode that I would have cut right now but I know it's probably the most liked by other players out of my 4s left so I'll make it my second to last priority to cut instead of my first priority to cut out of the four 4/10s

Thus next up is Hard to Say Anything. This episode is inoffensive, has a couple sweet moments, and has exactly one moment I remember finding pretty funny (when Big Mac is trying to kiss Sugar Belle while she's asleep but she notices and becomes frightened) but there's not much going for it aside from each of those positives. The episode feels like the CMC are relearning from Hearts and Hooves Day that romance should be natural and not forced especially when it directly references that they learned from that episode in the beginning, I remember finding the humor to be dull aside from that one really funny moment, and I didn't find the pony Big Mac was competing with to be interesting even by the standards of how interesting he should be for his "egotistical obstacle" role. While not awful it's not a good episode either.

The Student Six are written okay here, and the opening dream sequence is interesting, but that it feels really similar to Castle Sweet Castle, has a forgettable song, and items the Student Six built such as the ladder are removed in the final castle make this episode feel mostly pretty bland.

oof there went the first of my 9s, i actually really like grannies gone wild. i also enjoyed hard to say anything and (assuming its the one im thinking of) i will probably not agree with your next cut

...that said i don't think you'll agree with this cut, considering it was the runner up of the last game it was in but uh...i kind of dislike it? beyond the episode just feeling less like an episode to me and more "we didn't know what to do with these stories so we chucked them together", i also only liked rarity's story of the three personally, the other two did little to interest me and hers isn't enough to carry it. i left it alone a few more rounds than i would normally because of its past success, but now it's my final sub-5 remaining so out it goes

Campfire Tales was an 8 for me when reanalyzing my rankings, and less good than Gauntlet of Fire, the other episode in the 6/7 thread Top 3 more distinctly when looking at how I placed my R2 and R3 rankings (I still thought it was weaker than GoF then but I didn't want GoF to have a chance against Health since GoF is even better received than CT). However, I still really like the episode, the tales of Rockhoof and Flash Magnus weren't as good but still interesting lore to me, but Mistmane's story especially brought it up. I can see how it could have felt a bit forced introducing it, though.

Next up is Fake It Til You Make It, this episode has some energy and redeeming qualities (Rarity being well-written and a good ending) but it felt awkwardly written that Fluttershy is handling her roles competently in the first half but then she just suddenly becomes abysmal at her job with no catalyst, as well as this fact leading to her having too mean-spirited moments, which is why it's getting cut next.

MFE was my last 4, now I at least consider all the episodes left okay. However first off for the eps I'm neutral towards I'm cutting Not Asking For Trouble, it doesn't have abysmal character writing but its conflict is extremely similar to Applebuck Season so it's going next

There's one episode coming up that I know has fans and has a consensus of being fairly good but I just felt neutral towards, its pretty decent fandom reception means I'll cut it later of the two 5s left though

Next up is Point of No Return, this episode has its moments like a good twist ending but it feels a bit dragged on about Twilight going somewhere and then getting stressed out about not finding her librarian
