Earlier this decade I decided to make some Elimination threads of MLP:FiM episodes past Season 3, covering Seasons 4/5 and Seasons 6/7, and that inspired another user to make a thread about Seasons 8/9, which each had some interesting results. However, now I'm going a new route and making a game for the complete show and every episode in it, for a larger scale that I think will be interesting. Regardless of whether one finds only some episodes of the show good or likes almost all of them, everyone has preferences for which episodes are their favorites, which one can analyze and express in this game. I'm posting it in May because people might not have as much work such as college or etc. starting right around this month.
Seasons 1-3 Top 5:
The Return of Harmony Part 1, The Return of Harmony Part 2, Sisterhooves Social, A Canterlot Wedding - Part 2, Sleepless in Ponyville
Seasons 4-6 Top 5:
Maud Pie, For Whom the Sweetie Belle Toils, Twilight's Kingdom - Part 2, Amending Fences, The Saddle Row Review
Seasons 7-9 Top 5:
All Bottled Up, Discordant Harmony, The Break Up Break Down, The Hearth's Warming Club, Sounds of Silence
Rules:
-Since my plan to split games up into rounds was well-received for the KO a Character: Pokemon and KO a Character: Triple Digit Numbers threads, I will be doing a hybrid version of the same format here, so there will be three rounds covering three seasons each. (So Seasons 1-3, Seasons 4-6, Seasons 7-9). Each round stops where there are five left and the Top 5 of each of those three rounds will make it to the final round covering the Top 15. (There will also be a brief, one-move based round covering the three last places of the three rounds where whichever of those three is eliminated makes the thread last place.)
-If you have not seen every episode in the series, that is fine, but please make sure you have seen every episode in the current round. For example, someone who has seen the series only through Seasons 1-6 can play in both the Seasons 1-3 round and Seasons 4-6 round, but not the Seasons 7-9 round, or the final round since that will contain episodes from Seasons 7-9.
-In general I am hoping for there to consistently be three or more people including myself who are playing the game. While the following request is not exactly a hard rule, please try to avoid drastically accelerating the rate of the game with one other person if there is a third/fourth/etc person consistently interested in playing; try to give them a turn after making a few moves such as if they are not able to be active that day.
-Don't be afraid to request a hold on the thread if you need more time before you can play it, such as because of work, wanting to rewatch the episodes, or something else. If you want to request a hold however please let me know how much time you want me to extend the thread by before playing it again. Again this thread should be inclusive and something one feels like they can do on their own pace.
-When eliminating an episode please bold the text so people can see more easily that you are eliminating it.
