Something Old, Something New: A Collaborative TL

Toadenstein

Koopa Troopa
Basically, the premise of this is that y'all suggest 1 to 5 events, and I will integrate them into a coherent timeline, with OTL as a baseline.

You can submit 3 types of events:

1. Something Old - the events of a entire or part of a work of fiction.

2. Something New - A completely original event. These can be as crazy and frivolous as you want them to be.

3. Something Changed - like Something Old, but you change the events of how the work of fiction goes before and/or after you place it down. These changes can be as minor or as frivolous as you want.

You can make these events happen in any year you want, and you can mix and match between the three types!

Make sure to add the classifications of SO, SN, and/or SC depending on the event in parentheses after the number.

Example:
1. (SO) Groundhog Day
2. (SN) During the Civil War, copies of Shrek 2 rain from the sky
3. (SC) Friends, but in 2004, Ross, the largest of the friends, eats the others.

1. (SO) The events of Braveheart
2. (SN) In 1705, abundant gold is discovered in Scotland, found by following ducks
3. (SC) Carl Barks creates Scrooge McDuck comics, but his backstory is rewritten to involve no hard work because he's the heir of a Scottish gold mine

TURN 1

1296-1328
- Scottish soldier William Wallace leads a bloody fight for independence against King Edward I of England.

1705 - The Scots follow ducks to find gold. As gold mines keep being discovered, ducks are placed with miners for good luck.

1947 - Carl Barks creates comics for Disney featuring Scrooge McDuck, Donald Duck's Scottish uncle who is the heir to a gold mine making him the richest duck in the world.

Here ya go, Toadenstein:
1. (SO) The events of The Princess Bride
2. (SN) In 1923, dinosaurs are found living in European forests
3. (SC) Jurassic Park is opened in England

TURN 2

15th-16th century
- In the small island nation of Florin between Sweden and Germany, Westley saves his true love Buttercup from the evil Prince Humperdinck with the help of Greenland giant Fezzik and Spanish swordsman Inigo Montoya, who ends up inheriting the identity of the fictional Dread Pirate Roberts. Dread Pirate Roberts would later become a symbol of Florin's strength and willpower, especially when it was invaded by Nazi Germany during World War II.

1923 - In the forests of Europe, dinosaurs are found. While they are first kept by rulers and important rich people, some become trained to go into war and do battle. World War II would be fought with not only weapons, but with giant creatures. This would cause mass protests by dinosaur enthusiasts, causing them to transition to becoming domesticated. It is said that dinosaurs may go to war again, but that is yet to be proven…

1993 - Jurassic Park opens in London by American industrialist John Hammond. It is the first zoological park to have dinosaurs, and is the largest. Many parks like it would become popular, spreading to America and other continents.
