The article at https://www.mariowiki.com/List_of_Super_Mario_Bros._3_glitches is badly in need of copy editing, with multiple grammar issues and typos that make parts of it difficult to understand.

I signed up for the wiki to help fix the issues with the article, but I find I am unable to edit it, presumably because of previous vandalism by malicious users.

How do I obtain permission to copy edit the article?

Please note: I am happy to let a moderator review and approve any and all edits I make to that article before they are published, as all I would do is fix existing typos and errors in grammar.

It's protected so that you have to be autoconfirmed to edit it, you can become autoconfirmed once your account is 7 days old and you have made 10 edits.

Glitch pages in general are protected because a lot of glitches have proven to end up being fake, unnoteworthy, or just ended up being people misunderstanding how mechanics work. To avoid having glitches added willy-nilly, we put a policy in place so the more active and trusted members can add any.
