i got a quote from him in my philosophy oral exam (had to talk about it in relation to existentialism) and the teachers also gifted me a book he authored when i graduated later.
Not to mention his earlier work, A Brief History of Time, which got me interested in physics in the first place (and I mean I played with the thought of majoring in that for a while, before settling for compsci). And yeah the philosophy part in the first sentence wasn't a typo lol.
Rest in Peace.
