I thought the dex just scans the Pokemon and fills in data. That's how it works in the anime. Where do people get the idea that the trainer is writing these?

I mean, I don't know you, but I can believe that Snorunt, an Ice-type Pokemon, can survive frigid environments. As can Azumarill, a Water-type Pokemon, breathe underwater perpetually.

and i'd also like to point out that just because it's floaty doesn't mean it's light. a cube of metal and a boat that weighs the same have different buoyancy properties

Then there's Steelix, a 30'2" steel/iron snake with a bulky body. It must weigh over a ton, right? 882 pounds....... Is it steel, iron, or aluminum? Then Onix must be hollow because at 28'10," what should weigh about a ton weighs less than 500 pounds. Just why?
