Is Super Mario 3D World that good?

Is this game that good? alot of the critics said it was awesome, but it seemed pretty easy. Thoughts?

it's okay, a lot better than sm3dl, and it surely has it's moments. a lot of the game is very forgettable though, sadly.
 
I really like this game in a lot of areas, for stater the levels weren't competently forgettable unlike its predecessors, multiplayer was good and there's plenty of content as well.. However it no where near matches the impact of the galaxy games.
 
It's a blast in multiplayer, that's all I know.
 
I feel like a lot of people hate the game just because it wasn't a full 3D platformer

I mean it wasn't perfect, but I had fun playing it at least, it made me smile
