Actually, in diamond/pearl/platinum you can catch wild Eevees in the Trophy Garden so it's been happening for the past 3 gens. Not in all the games, but it has been a mostly consistent thing.

Yeah, there should be a way to change your shiny's ability to hidden but make it hard. I remember being mad when hatching a shiny froakie that had torrent.

Mimikyu lives its life completely covered by its cloth and is always hidden. People believe that anybody who sees its true form beneath the cloth will be stricken with a mysterious illness. People in the Alola region are convinced that you must never try to peek beneath its covering. Mimikyu’s health fails when it’s bathed in the rays of the sun, so it prefers to stick to dark places. Fucking hell this is what I hoped for so long in Pokémon, now I can have perfect legendaries without hacking or reseting a thousand times, and getting perfect Pokémon without breading 50+ eggs.
