Formatting help

So I just made a rotating signature for movie stills I like. Unfortunately, as you may know, movie frames generally come in either a 1.85 aspect ratio or a 2.4 aspect ratio.

Signavatar.com registers these perfectly fine, but the forum resizes the 2.4 images to fit the 1.85 frame, squashing them horizontally. Does anyone know how I can format this so that my images remain the same size?

Add extra transparency to maintain the aspect ratio.

is there any way to simply use the forum's formatting?

There is no way to do that forum-side, as it requires both width and height and will retrieve the other if only one is given (subsequently this being randomly selected based on what SA decides to serve our server). Only way is manually editing all images to be equal in ratio (favorably also in pixels), be it letterboxing, cropping, or both.
