True, but do we really need another heavy weight? I completely filled up a row (9 slots) with them.
In my idea, costume changes/palette swaps would be purely aesthetic (similar to Smash Bros.), so they wouldn't change stats. All it would do would allow multiple people to play as the same character. This also makes room for more characters. So Metal Mario and Pink Gold Peach would still technically be there.
