Donkey Kong
The fact is that Generation 1 is the most popular generation and it is the one with the most iconic pokemon. That's why it gets so much love in Smash.

He will get in over Sceptile.3D Player 2004 said:GalacticPetey said:In my opinion, it would make sense for Pokemon to have six characters, seeing as how you can have a team of six pokemon. We have four right now. The fifth should definitely be Jigglypuff. As for number six, only Mewtwo deserves that spot.
Then we should have 7 Pokemon because Sceptile deserves a slot and it wouldn't make any sense to exclude him. Mewtwo won't be getting in over Sceptile. Also Generation 1 is repped perfectly fine right now. Adding Jigglypuff or Mewtwo will mess it up. One of my biggest complaints with the Pokemon lineup with Melee/Brawl was too much Gen 1.
You cringe because of that?3D Player 2004 said:Mariofan169 said:In Melee, that's because there was only two generations back then. Also, Mewtwo is way more popular than Sceptile, and for good reason. No he won't. Ivysaur got in over Mewtwo in Brawl. Sceptile would be a very good choice. It would promote OR/AS. It would also complete the starter triangle. I really cringe whenever a popular character gets in only because it is popular.

Every Pokemon rep not named Pikachu should be cut from one installment to the next to make room for newer more relevant Pokemon.Roserade the Real Bombchu said:Are you oblivious?3D Player 2004 said:Mariofan169 said:In Melee, that's because there was only two generations back then. Mewtwo is a Pokémon genetically made for combat.
It has two Mega Evolutions in X&Y, making for perfect Final Smashes.
He is the only Pokémon to use Psystrike.
And yet you think he'll only get in due to popularity?

Oh, you haven't met 3D Player, right? He spends all his time lurking around the Smash board obsessing over Daisy and Sceptile and acting like they're 99% chance to get in SSB4 even though they're obviously not happening.Roserade the Real Bombchu said:You can not shut up over Sceptile right now, can you?3D Player 2004 said:GalacticPetey said:In my opinion, it would make sense for Pokemon to have six characters, seeing as how you can have a team of six pokemon.
