I'm bumping this thread is it has potential, and in honor of Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze being the first 2D Mario platformer I've ever beaten, three weeks ago. You can do 4 HP change total for up to two items, and both hurting and healing is allowed. If you haven't played Tropical Freeze that's fine, but please look at clips of the boss fights before making moves on the bosses.

Bashmaster should win this; he has a decently difficult fight, for example you have to make sure not to mess up with the ice cube pillar, with a good design as well as a large, intimidatingly scowling polar bear with his hammer being intimidating as well, and some cool boss music. Plus him licking the popsicle before the Kongs disturb him is funny

Lord Frederik needs to go first, some aspects of fighting him namely his jump attack where even if you try to get out of the way right when he starts you're already doomed are just broken, making him a not fun boss.
