"Bitter Sweet Symphony", by The Verve

This song is actually good proof that depression can be beautiful. Richard Ashcroft took his clinical depression and wrote melodic and poetic lyrics relating to it, and put it on a violin-driven britpop riff that just sounds beautiful... Huge shame they got sued by the record label for The Rolling Stones. Even taboo subjects can be artistic and gorgeous, a point I hope to prove when I get into the music industry; Fusing anger with beauty and glamour. That's the fresh sound rock and pop music desperately needs right now.
