That's part of his charm though
Also his name is excellent
Agreed, but it's just repetitive.
Ringabel: (Insert perverted comment here)
Edea: Shut up, Ringabel/(insert smart remark here)
How well did you handle the second half of this game?
I haven't got there yet. Why?
I think you'll enjoy it.
OK, can you tell me why without spoiling anything?

Nope. It's better to experience Bravely Default without being spoiled like I was. YouTube comments can go to hell, if they weren't hell itself already.

Big news on Bravely Second: http://www.siliconera.com/2014/12/18/heres-a-summary-of-whats-in-bravely-seconds-first-demo/

Jobs said:
Freelancers are pretty similar to what they were in Bravely Default, but they now get a new ability called "Halfs" that lets you use recovery items on your entire party but only at 50% of its normal rate.

The Wizard is a new job in Bravely Second that focuses in Spirit Magic, which adds different effects to regular magic. Their Mist ability is pretty interesting, as gives magic a continuous effect for three turns.

The Astrologer is another new job in Bravely Second, and it focuses on "Moon Magic" that helps the party with supports such as attack and defense increases. In the demo, they don't learn any offensive magic, so they were used as pure buffers.

Consecutive Chance said:
Here's another look at Bravely Second's new feature called the "Consecutive Chance". This can activate whenever you take out all the enemies in a single turn, and you'll get a chance to fight new monsters to get x1.5 the reward. A third time makes it x1.8, and a fourth time makes it x2, a fifth makes it x2.2, and so on. However, the catch is managing your BP and knowing how long you'll be able to last.

Really getting Ancheim vibes from how it looks, plus it's where the demo took place in the original.

And yes that's Red Mage Fiore de Rosa, he makes a return for some reason.

Game is set to come out on April 23rd 2015 in Japan.

7.8/10 Too many crappy character designs.

Apparently I forgot to post this last month: http://nintendoeverything.com/latest-bravely-second-details-about-the-cat-master-job-and-more/

While I wasn't expecting this at all, I still highly approve.

Apparently expensive bundle like with Bravely Default, no word about any other release dates though.

it's so beautiful
definitely saving up to get this

Tell me, will there actually ever be a romance between Edea and Ringabel, or is it just played for laughs?

I would bet on that person being Tiz, the resemblance is uncanny.

so starting from the left it looks like tiz, pretty obvious edea, who's this guy, the chick from the trailer
also i like edea's frog costume very much

Looks like Tiz decided to adopt the edge.

Magnolia seems like a cool new character, not too sure about the musketeer guys.

I'll preface this by saying I do not want to step on any toes, and I'm extremely sorry if I come across as abrasive. With that said, could you guys explain to me why you like the game? I picked up the game and dropped off at the volcano area because I got tired of the plot. The gameplay's definitely fun (though the job system's a bit unwieldy imo), but at best, I do not care about what's happening, and at worst, I can not stand what's happening. I find that Tiz and Agnès are bland, Ringabel is an annoying pervert in every single conversation, pretty much all of the villains are transparently villainous and forgettable, there are so many JRPG tropes invoked throughout the story (not to mention the fact that it's retreading the four crystals from the old Final Fantasy games while also having this weird anti-"crystallism" that wouldn't have ever been in the old games and doesn't seem to do much with it)... The stuff involving Edea is honestly my favorite part, though a lot of moments are often turned weird thanks to the jobs, and that tends to suck me out of the moment. In regards to the narrative, I'm not fond of it. What are your opinions on it?

I agree with you about the main characters (they're all forgettable except for Edea), but there is a grand total of one other character in the game I like, Lord DeRosso. I liked the gameplay though, and I really hope the Brave and Default system goes into other RPGs. BTW, go play the second half. Gameplay-wise, it's cluttered and unoriginal, but it also makes a few characters more interesting.

well for one thing the soundtrack is absolutely amazing
i haven't finished it yet but after a slightly slow start the story was pretty interesting (ok there is that slow bit but w/e)
the gameplay was standard rpg fare but i like that so yeah
and i actually really liked the characters

http://www.siliconera.com/2015/03/09/bravely-second-developers-recap-games-new-features/

Recaps the features of the game they've shown, and also mention players can customize conditions to using special moves this time around, which is pretty nice. There's also going to be a return of the Norende Village mechanic, except with Magnolia's hometown instead.

At 11:50, they show off the new jobs and how they look on the characters, whereas at 17:38, they do this with old jobs but mainly to see how the new characters look as them.

Looks quite promising.

>has an ability that lets you equip three weapons at once

I'm not sure how to feel about that.

http://www.siliconera.com/2015/03/27/bravely-seconds-ayame-looks-like-quite-creepy-lady/

Wizard job is now a thing, most of the article is non-gameplay details on the Asterisk Holder and some screens of characters in their job costumes.

Shouldn't there be a separate topic for Bravely Second?

23:00-26:04, Bravely Second trailer plus a reveal of an Agnes 3DS theme.

EDIT: Fixed the link in my post because I could.

More details on the new Chariot job: http://www.siliconera.com/2015/04/06/bravely-seconds-new-chariot-job-lets-you-equip-weapons-on-your-head/

http://www.siliconera.com/2015/04/09/bravely-second-introduces-the-fencer-and-bishop-jobs/

If they keep all the old jobs from the original there's going to be so much to max out in this, good grief.

The Fencer can buff defence and speed (not much mentioned besides that), whereas the Bishop is basically another type of White Mage but also with magic enhancing powers.

I have a question for this game. When do you start fighting harder enemies? I'm at Eternia, the hardest part of the game, but since my team is at Level 72, they can take them out at the blink of an eye.

Is that normal.

My memories of this game are hazy but I feel like I was only level 70 near the end of the game.

If my memory isn't shot; damn how much have you been grinding?
