Agreed, though I seriously have to wonder how she came about learning of such things.

Depends on the environment and the parents, mine were fairly strict about not swearing or talking about things I'm too young for. Though I did learn a lot of swear words when I was 8 and used them a lot to try and be cool. Maybe that's why they're so ingrained into my speech, I used them so much before I realized there was no point so now I say them a lot accidentally.

So they failed on the swear words side of things.

It also depends on the attitude of the child considering my parents posed no apparent strictness relating to swear words, yet I've never used one before.
