Yes, but at my school, the people who made me feel even more terrible are CoD fans. It ---ing sucked. A lot.

I take things too personally anyway but I'm sorry if I have some sort of bias against these people. I'm fine with any other FPS, but CoD can just go to Hell for all I care.

are you really fine with any fps?

from my experience, halo gamers tend to be even more defensive about their franchise whereas cod gamers are usually more chill about it. which is a shame, because i enjoy playing halo.

Well, Halo is another issue, but it originally didn't start out bad until it gathered a pretty large fanbase. I remember my brother playing the first Halo-it wasn't too bad, actually.

Yes, I am. I even played some myself. I've played a little bit of Doom and TF2, but I mostly enjoy watching my brother play some FPS games such as Half-Life 2 and Doom. I also respect games such as GTA V because I know a lot of effort was placed in it and that it sorta deserved Game of the Year. I'm mostly not informed with the FPS genre, however, if there's a good game and no obnoxious people who lambast others, I'll respect it.

Well, I guess you must really like it. Must be a pretty good game.

I'm not too big on FPS's myself. They're....just not my thing. Even though I did found Goldeneye mulitplayer fun when the N64 was a thing and I was a kid :P. My bro also said that the first Call of Duty's were pretty good too, but it turned stale. I usually agree with him since he tends to be lax about things, but I have little info about the first ones so I can't have an opinion. Besides, the guys at my school raved about the latest ones not the first ones.

Isn't there also a slight overabundancy with them? I mean, I know FPS's sell, but there's quite a few that aren't really distinct.

But then again, same could be said for Nintendo stuff, especially Mario, Link, and Pokemon.

No one was good at an RTS when they started playing it. Or a space flight, for that matter.
