Miiverse

Purple Yoshi

King Bowser
So, let's talk about the Miiverse. Is it a cool idea? Stupid? Too much moderation? It just released on 3DS, and I've been somewhat addicted to it. It's kinda like tumblr for Nintendo games.

I never use it and I'm not interested. There are some stupidly amusing posts, though.

i've never had a chance to actually use it but the stuff i've seen of it on the internet are hilarious

I enjoy it and have no issues with moderation except for my disagreement with Nintendo's policy regarding friend codes.

Miiverse (ChillV's Thoughts)

The mods on MiiVerse are a only a bit too dramatic at time, but I personally have no problem with the moderation. Their just trying to make things as safe for children as possible.

It's an okay service, and it is used quite well in games. However, I don't like the fact that it games that have MiiVerse features and MiiVerse itself will be useless after years have passed an the Wii U is dead.

Pikmin 3 lets you take pictures and send them to MiiVerse. Art Academy Sketchpad allows you to send your artwork to MiiVerse. Wind Waker HD allows you to send notes in bottles on miiverse and get notified when it has been posted on. Not only that, you can find bottles washed up on the beach and in the water and read them. You can even save pictures attached to them to your pictobox or attach you own to your own messages. Super Mario 3D World has those stamps. Sonic Lost World has the Wisped Away items. Game & Wario has a minigame called MiiVersketch. In Mario and Sonic at the Sochi Olimpics, you get interviews for beating a new record and it allows you to post tips for an event on MiiVerse.

Speaking of those interviews, look at these crazy interview posts I made

I love it, because I can find decent brazilian players there (which is a rarity here).

Apparently, it's considered "sexually explicit" if you use the word "breast" in any of your Miiverse posts. I recently got a violation message, just for using that word.

Like, "I ate a chicken breast"?
Weird that we censor things kids see every day on the KFC menu.

I really like Miiverse and I use it all the time.

I love stating my thoughts to others, because so many times before I got the Wii U I just wanted to be like "omg you guys, guess what just happened?" And now I can do that in a contained area!

Of course, Wind Waker HD selfies are great too. Nintendo should have made him been able to make a duck face. Had they done that, I might have just been on the floor laughing my butt off.

And breast, really? Actually, not too surprised due to the fact that breast is like 90% dealing with the chest, so I do see the purpose behind it.

This made me check your profile to see if you are a girl or not. Like, I know men have breasts too. However, whenever I hear that word, I think about females since theirs are actually visible, even with clothes on.

there are plenty of males with visible breasts with clothing

trust me ;)

I love how both of you are being so professional with this talk, but I'm just going to come out and say it.

Man boobs.

The male equilavent to women's chest. That is how males can have visible breasts, and usually happens when they are a bit on the heavier side.

But yeah, it makes me wonder what other words are sensored.

"Balls" "Hell"
"Penis" "Vagina"
"Sex" "Shit" "Fuck" "C---"
You get the idea.

I kinda like the moderation levels in Miiverse. After the poor community management in things like Live, it is nice to see a company take a stand against abuse and harassment. Also, the tick box that shows whether somebody owns a game or not is a nice feature, so if somebody trash-talks it, you can see whether they have played it or not.

Sometimes it is funny to post something offensive and see how long it takes to go down. My friends and I posted a screenshot from Luigi's Ghost Mansion with the caption, "Terrorists win" which was up for about 10 minutes. :P

I do remember on the first day my profile got banned because I had my Twitter on there, so that was amusing as well.
