Until Grade 2, I'd either be sent to my room until I apologized (Basically, sending me on a guilt trip) or get smacked with a wooden spoon on the ass. Then they kind of just yelled at me from Grade 3 onwards.

I was a bit of a troublemaker, but once they laid off on the punishment I got better.

to this day, the standard for talking back, disrespecting a teacher, or hitting my sister is a swift leather belt to the ass, banishment from any electronic device, and probably doing most of the housework.
