Yes, but those could all easily fit into pockets (I know because I have tried). This one, being essentially a permanently open 3DS design-wise, does not look like it could fit into a pocket unless they made it much smaller than the 3DS.

I agree with this. The 2DS would not be able to fit in small bags while the 3DS would fit.
