Killjoys in gaming

Celestial Guide
A kill joy in a video game is something at you don't enjoy at all. It could be level, a boss or a mission that just pisses you off and playing it just isn't.

What parts of game do you see as killjoys?

if a game, even at 100% is shorter than 20 hours.

Not sure why, but beating a game less than 20 hours just infuriates me for whatever reason. Actually the main reason why i didn't like marvel ultimate alliance 2.

Grinding in games such as Pokemon and Erosion in Animal Crossing games

Not exactly a level, but I always hated inventory limits in the Paper Mario series.

Also like Baby Luigi said, level grinding as well since it gets tedious when you run out of trainers to fight and you gotta grind for like a week on wild pokemon for your Pokemon to get up 1 level. That's the main reason I hate training for the Elite 4 lol

grinding is actually a lot worse in turn based rpgs like mother 1 and pokemon, mainly due to repeating the same thing forever.

I noticed grinding in action rpgs is actually pretty fun since you dont have to just press the main confirm button all the time. I don't mind grinding at all in tales of games, but again action rpg.

20 hours...

There are loads of great games out there shorter than 20.

When I find a game to be generic in the sense it feels to have no life going for it.

One example I can think of is Tales of Destiny PSX. I've tried many times to get into it...but...it's not happening.

I see Bowser as very generic these days but then again he's appeared in a lot of games.

sadly i can agree, but its just something that bothers me when beating shorter games. Maybe im used to playing so many games over 20 hours that anything shorter makes me feel little to no satisfaction.

generic villains. I am looking at you final fantasy 5.
.

Too bad he had an awesome design and even better battle theme.

Plus ff5 is just such an awesome game.

Zelda Dungeons. I like the Deku Tree but other than that I don't like them which is annoying because Zelda is mainly about completing dungeons and I like the parts in Zelda where you're not in dungeons(like sneaking into Hyrule Castle in Ocarina of Time and exploring).
