help in SuperStar saga

I am doing a playthrough of superstar saga and this is a topic for anything I cant figure out. I am confused about why I cant attack for a long time with Knockback Bros. I have tried the advanced version and I could attack, then attack again, but I could not try anymore like people on YouTube seem to. Any help is needed.

Your timing's probably off.

no, it just wont work. I am on the setting that tells to when to hit each button, and it doesnt say anything.

Are you doing this?

to execute the Advanced version, A must be pressed immediately after the first B press. Then the controls are B to hit Mario, A to do damage, B to hit Mario, A to do damage, etc.

yeah, I do that. but it stops after the second time attacking.

If you are doing the "slow" version that tells you what buttons to press, it only lets you do it a couple times. I tried it, I know you have to be on Lv. 3 to go infinite until you mess up. (maybe level 2 but I doubt it)

oh, I did it on slow every time!
I am actually on the last boss. does anyone have any advice (eg. what level, what attacks etc.)

Use the Thunder Bros. Attack, it lowers the defense of the boss.

ok, that will help alot. Also, please dont say I should use the Mush Badge. it is pretty much a cheat.
