also what will we call the original Xbox now
Original XBox: XBox
XBox 360: 360/X360
XBox One: The One (that shall not be played)
I was actually thinking "Xbox Classic" but that sounds like something a Microsoft fanboy would say.

First 64 bit Nintendo console: 1996
First 64 bit Xbox console: 2013
Microsoft, are you even trying?

You have got to be fucking kidding me. I have half a mind to collect all the computers in my house and sell them for Macs because of Microsoft's idiocy. (Kidding, but i needed to explain how dumb of a move this is.)

I know very little about this, but this new Xbox in general but (Quoted from the forum post that crash linked) sums up my feelings on it:

Want to lend a game to a friend? Fuck you, pay me.
Want to lend a game to your little brother? Fuck you, pay me.
Want to rent a game? Fuck you, pay me.
Want to play a game after the activation server dies? Lol. You're fucked.

Also the lack of backwards compatibility pisses me off to extreme extents, for both "Next-Gen" machines.

I think this is the point were I put all my consoles in a closet except for my SNES, N64 and Ps2 and buy a gaming PC. Because PC gaming, is not going downhill so much.

Ultimately, i wasn't getting this regardless, i grew up with a Ps2, and i own a Ps3, I prefer Sony's machines, but clearly console gaming as a whole is going downhill and I need to save up for a better computer.

Actually, the Xbox has never been 64 bit.

And to answer NSY's question, NSM already explained it, but I'll now re-explain it in my own words:
3DS: Lots of great games, that can only be found on that platform. High priority from 3rd Parties.
Smartphones/Tablets: Countless of people playing on them everyday. It's the future for Indie Developers.
PS Vita: Attention from 3rd Parties and Sony once in a while, almost no exclusives due to Cross-Play. And lots of PS3 Ports make it not worth getting.
Wii U: Started with lots of games, almost nothing happened shortly after. 3rd Parties rather stick with the PS3 and Xbox 360, due to the current Wii U sales. Nintendo is still hiding lots of new stuff for after the E3.
PS4: We know basically nothing about it, other than how the Controller looks like, and the fact it has the same specs as a High-End PC. Nobody knows if this support from hundreds of Developers is true, or just a broken promise.
Xbox One: It's a Console that has a bigger priority on Multimedia, than Games. Ships with an OS that's more suitable for a PC, than on a Console.

Apparently it requires Kinect to work. And has no backwards compatibility.
That's just stupid.
Ok, what?

Microsoft is so greedy. (I mean, I suppose all companies are, but compared to Nintendo and Sony anyway).

And I don't see why people would get this over say, a PS4 and Wii U (which offer lots more exclusives, and have most of the Xbox games on them)

And 360 --> 1?
