I wouldn't even make one in the first place; however, if I would make one, I would hide it where nobody looks. Granted, nobody except J.K.Rowling knows how a Horcrux is made, but it's pretty nasty stuff so I doubt you would find any of these places where nobody would look if you actually made one. But then again, there is magic so maybe creating somewhere where nobody would look would be a feasible way to counter that; but you have to make sure nobody knows how to bypass any eventual seals you place to protect your Horcrux.
