Yes! I was hoping they'd do that! I thought they might since they did the same with the new Mario Golf title.
I'm going to use that demo every waking hour before the release. :P

Now time to practice power-sliding, shell-tossing, banana-laying and avoiding blue shells until May 30th.

Any info about if the demo is legit, and if so, when it's coming out?

I really hope I can get it, but my Gamepad is out for repairs, and I can't use eShop.

EA probably would. I'm unfamiliar with game demos.

Nintendo isn't an ass like EA so I doubt they would charge money to play with demos. Demos SHOULD be free. The concept of a demo is to give a short free excerpt of a game to let potential customers know if they want to pay for the full game or not. Obviously paying money for a demo is against the concept from the very beginning.
