Can't log in on MarioWiki on my laptop?

So I was going to watch the debate on Chat, but when I tried to log in as Rin Kagamine I got an error message that said something like this:

The user by the name Rin Kagamine does not exist. Remember Usernames are Case-Sensitive.

I dunno if it's my laptop or not. (My Laptop is Windows 8 so that might be it if it's my laptop.)

That means that is not your username. Nothing wrong with the computer or the site.

I can't find a Rin Kagamine registered.

Well that's my current username.

I also tried the name MarioBros2 as well but that didn't work either.

Did you create an account even?

Yeah, and I tried logging in on my phone where it had remembered my username from last time but I got the same message.

You go to the link I give
There is a box to fill your name
click the connect button

If this not work, then I don't know
It did, but I wanna log in on my actual account.

You sure about the name Rin Kagamine? Tell me a page you have edited and I'll try and find you in the history.

Yeah. Porple changed it. It's the same as my profile username and my current name.

The sad news is I've never made any edits.

are you sure that you've logged in with this name in the past

i mean what if he changed your name to "Rin_Kagamine" with that thing inbetween

Yes. I logged in a few weeks ago on my phone with that name and it worked fine.

If it was just the debate on chat you were wanting to watch, then you don't really need to log in on the wiki. Just follow this link and chose a name.

SMF probably doesn't like spaces.
I'm not sure about that, somebody with a SMF-based Forum could test this problem?

I also see Porple recently Updated the Forums to SMF 2.0.3, so it could possibly be a bug in the software.

The underscore is equal to the space in Mediawiki.

We're talking about the Wiki.

Really?
I didn't notice that.

Then I have no idea what can go wrong, I ever used spaces in Usernames on Wikies.
Or, try replacing the space by "%20"?
It works with URL's, at least.
Or place a backslash (\) before the space, which yet again works for Unix.

You were indeed renamed to that

I suppose this is a glitch, you should ask Steve.
