So, I have been reading old locked topics, and a lot of the final posts in them say something along the lines of "Don't necropost". What does that even mean?
Or rather from just the Greek(I believe) root, Necro.Blastoise said:It means to revive an old, "dead" thread. Comes from the term "necromancy" which often causes the dead to rise in fantasy stories.
That would technically mean "deadpost" and I don't think your post is actually dead.Dr. Turnip said:Or rather from just the Greek(I believe) root, Necro.Blastoise said:It means to revive an old, "dead" thread. Comes from the term "necromancy" which often causes the dead to rise in fantasy stories.
Not as much sense as "necromancer posting" which would be reviving something that was dead with your post, which is what necroposting is.Dr. Turnip said:Actually, it means deadposting which makes a bit more sense.
