Yes. And I will have to do it again. I don't kill innocent people, however. Only those who mean to do us harm. Those who I simply cannot stop by natural means.

But as soon as I return to the war, all of that will change.
 
Nobody's ever cared about war, until they experience it first hand. This war is one that will stretch across the universe, destroying everything in its path. And I bet you wouldn't want it to destroy your home planet, and everything you love. As long as this war is waging, you better show some concern at least.

Is it not justified to kill one man to save a million? Or would you rather allow the mass murderer to go free, so that he can kill again, possibly on a larger scale? What would you do if a loved one was down the end of a barrel, and a maniac on the trigger, with no other way out than killing the trigger-man? I do what I do to save people's lives. Better to end a life to save billions, than save a life to end billions. You should understand, yet you brand me guilty. Yet here I am, trying to save all of your lives. Wouldn't be the first time. I'm not a maniac, I'm the one who has no other choice.
 
Suzune: It depends on the man's motivations for doing so. Some people in this world do not deserve to live. They are too weak to defend themselves. If a loved one was down the end of a barrel, as you say, what I would do would depend on who that loved one was. Some I'd save, others I'd let die. I care little about saving lives. If you want to have that discussion, talk to Kiriya's government slaves (*at this, Daidouji and the Hanzo girls look at Suzune with indignation*). I care only about completing the mission, whatever the cost. That is my path as a shinobi.
