If you're into a storyline that grows more and more sad as the game passes, then mother 3.

if you want something cool, whacky and maybe funny, then try Earthbound.

if you want something epic and good, then both.

Unfortunately, the only way to play Mother 3 in English is through ROMs. Or you can just bombard Nintendo with angry letters until they release it in English.

well you need a gba emulator

a rom of mother 3

and the translation patch

then follow steps

and you're done

Way better story, far better visuals, a far more outstanding ost as well, and just liked the world more too.

Probably the only real thing that bothered me about 3 was some enemy designs, as the chimeras just looked a bit too random and kinda bleh at times, otherwise though. Fantastic game, even if I'm not big on the battle system.
