Google is trying to stop the recording of Youtube videos.

I really don't get it. I mean, if you see a TV show you like, you could record it to your DVR or VHS or TiVO or whatever you have.

So why should it make any difference now? This is simply a more recent digital minded way to record something you like.

Because the people who host these shows are losing money

You know, Google is nothing more than 12-year olds that think they have power in everything. Google Image searches always lead me to innapropriate stuff even though I'm not searching for them.

That's because the internet is full of porn on every subject

Yup.

It's not Google's fault at all.

Ehhh. I don't understand. What are they doing to try and enforce this?

...What? Oh yeah. Sorry 'bout that. Anyway...

I can understand the recording of tv shows and stuff, but not really user made videos... Can't they just make it so that only hosted videos like tv shows or movies are... record proof?

(Shut up it's 3 in the morning I can't think of a good word for that)

You have to know, how many times Google and YouTube came in legal trouble, for allowing full Movies on YouTube, to be Uploaded by individuals.
That's why they've introduced a 10 Minute Limit for 4 years long, hoping to stop Copyrighted material to be Uploaded.

Having a TV Show Uploaded, is only allowed for the actual people behind that Show, as they're Partnered, and get their money out of it.
If you record that Show, and Upload it yourself, they obviously can't earn anything on it, and can be blocked in all countries, or even be taken down.
Now you should see many VEVO Channels, these are actual artists, Uploading their own music.

You can see recording it and Uploading it yourself like this:
Nintendo has made a Wii, some Chinese notice that, and make their own Wii's.
See any pattern already? No? Then read further.
Nintendo can't earn anything on copied Wii's, as well as some Show can't earn anything on your Uploads.

I was going to argue with you, but that post was so terrible that I'm pretty sure you've already lost the debate.

Recording youtube videos is no different from recording shows on VCR.
