Yet another celebrity death this year. He was most famous for bringing a Philadelphia TV series (American Bandstand) to a national audience. He was also famous for several other things, such as hosting the New Years' countdown show for several years.

Anyway, he will be missed (he was always interesting on broadcasts of Thanksgiving and Christmas parades, and I've seen game show episodes he hosted).
 
He should have stopped hosting those New Years bashes after his stroke.
 
His death is tragic, I watched him on New Years, counting down, ever since I was little...
