If you hate the classics after reading them, you've missed out on the point of most of them (except for the really nasty ones like Mein Kampf or the Communist Manifesto)

I've gotta read Purgatory and Paradise next year, but I've already read Inferno.

Skip it. It's incredibly dull (even if you're required to read it, read something else) and underwhelming. Your answer's wrong, BTW.
